Snow Cloak (Japanese: ゆきがくれ Hidden in the Snow) is an Ability introduced in Generation IV. Eight Pokémon can have this Ability, all of which are Ice types.
Effect
In battle
Generation IV
During hail, the evasion of a Pokémon with this Ability is increased by 20%. A Pokémon with this Ability will take no damage from hail if it otherwise would.
Generation V onward
During hail, the evasion of a Pokémon with this Ability is now increased by 25%.
Outside of battle
If a Pokémon with Snow Cloak is leading the party in an area with a blizzard, then Snow Cloak decreases the wild Pokémon encounter rate by 50%.
