Serena's Sylveon
Since Eevee will evolve into Sylveon, that means she will also learn a Fairy-type move beforehand. Since we don't know which Fairy-type move she will learn, can we mention in the Major Events section that Eevee will be learning a Fairy-type move? --PKMNAdventurer (talk) 21:41, 5 January 2016 (UTC)
- No. It's entirely possible that the anime will skip that requirement altogether. And even if it doesn't, we still need proof before adding it. Ataro (talk) 21:56, 5 January 2016 (UTC)
Trivia Question
I was just wondering, in this Episode James has a brief dance with Serena. Could it be trivia worthy that this scene is similar to Lucario and the Mystery of Mew where James had to dance with May? Regarding the error that keeps getting added
I don't think Eevee evolving into Sylveon without knowing a Fairy-type move is an error. Aside from Games=/=Anime, Eevee probably knew Fairy Wind way prior to evolving but decided not to show us as there have been instances of Anime move errors and the anime has been known for leaving out stuff. PattyMan 01:26, 29 January 2016 (UTC)
- Actually, Eevee can't learn Fairy Wind at all - not even by breeding or tutoring. The only fairy moves she can learn is Baby Doll Eyes or Charm. If Goodra's evolution error (can't evolve by making it rain via Rain Dance, it has to be natural rain) counts this should be counted too, though you can suggest that Eevee may have never revealed that she knew one of the two Fairy Moves but never showed it seeing as until Fairy Wind showed up, Eevee only used 3 moves Azure/ChromeVoid42 (talk) 13:09, 29 January 2016 (UTC)
- I'm aware that Eevee can't learn Fairy Wind at all which was why I stated the Anime move errors page and that it only used 3 moves hence the word, probably, as the fact that it evolved with or without learning one first was just speculation anyway. PattyMan 19:50, 29 January 2016 (UTC)
- It's still imposible in the games, that can't be ignored. Games =/= Anime or not, it's no different from Ash's Goodra and James's second Victrebell. Sneaking from page to page... It's the page-editing purple ghost... Gengarzilla! 13:37, 30 January 2016 (UTC)
- I agree with Gengarzilla. Just because it's the anime doesn't excuse it from ignoring evolution mechanics. Speaking of Ash's Goodra and James's second Victreebel, the mistakes that occurred during their evolutions are recorded on their pages and on the episodes when they evolved, so why not Serena's Sylveon? It doesn't make sense to only note some evolution mistakes instead of all of them. --PKMNAdventurer (talk) 03:26, 31 January 2016 (UTC)
- IIRC, Goodra evolved specifically because of Rain Dance. That's where the anime ties in with the game's rule of Goodra only evolving on rain, only the difference is that in the games, Goodra can't evolve with Rain Dance and needs natural rain. I don't really remember Victreebel too well, but I just ppass it off as early season weirdness. But Sylveon is different, there was no mention or indication that Eevee can only evolve into Sylveon by knowing a FAiry type move, meaning the anime isn't following the game's rule with her evolution.--ForceFire 03:48, 31 January 2016 (UTC)
- I still personally feel that the anime shouldn't just get free passes on this stuff when we have an Errors section ready and waiting... but I suppose if that's the general opinion here then there's little I can do about it. - You aren't the only one who feels that way. How come we can't leave a note in the trivia section saying that in the anime, all that's needed for Eevee to evolve into Sylveon is for her to be affectionate towards her trainer and that knowing a Fairy-type move is not required? A similar scenario occurred with May's Glaceon. In the games, Eevee needs to level up near an Ice Rock in order to evolve into Glaceon, but in the anime, all Eevee has to do is touch the Ice Rock and she will instantly evolve into Glaceon, like if she was touching an Evolution Stone. --PKMNAdventurer (talk) 22:01, 3 February 2016 (UTC)
- I agree- even if we don't classify this as an error, it at least deserves a mention in the trivia section. - unsigned comment from Missingno. Master (talk • contribs) 23:08, 3 February 2016 (UTC)

(resetting indent)If the anime requires Eevee to know a Fairy-type move is not known; whether Eevee knew a Fairy-type move or not is not known. Therefore, the only thing we can say for certain is "It is not known if the anime requires an Eevee to know a Fairy-type move to evolve into a Sylveon", which isn't acceptable trivia. glikglak 23:47, 3 February 2016 (UTC)
- The concept of level aren't even a thing in the anime, it was mentioned once in the early days and that's it. So of course Glaceon would have to differ from the games. It's not an error if the anime doesn't indicate that it needs a fairy type move to evolve, and it's not trivial either since it's common knowledge that the anime doesn't necessarily follow the games.--ForceFire 03:08, 4 February 2016 (UTC)
