Trovitopolis (Japanese: ビッグシティ Big City) is a large port city on the western side of Mandarin Island South.
After traveling through the desert in the middle of Mandarin Island South, Ash, Misty, and Tracey reached the west side of the island and followed the path to Trovitopolis where they wanted to take a ferry to Trovita Island. Before they even reached the city, however, they fell into a hole dug by Team Rocket. The hole lead them to the sewer system of Trovitopolis where they were confronted with a mysterious creature, which later turned out to be a Bulbasaur that was abandoned by its former owner, the mayor of Trovitopolis.
The ferry to Trovita Island runs once a day. The voyage by ferry only takes a few minutes, according to the local Officer Jenny.
Places of interest
Pokémon Center
The Pokémon Center of Trovitopolis is a spherical building built in between two flats. It appears to only have a ground floor. Just like most Pokémon Centers, it features a communication system to communicate with other people in other regions or islands.
Government offices
The town hall, where the Mayor of Trovitopois works, appears to be a big building built in ancient Roman style. In front of the town hall is a statue of the Mayor of Trovitopolis who was put down in his position after the townspeople heard he had abandoned his Bulbasaur when he was younger.
Sewer complex
Beneath Trovitopolis, there is a large sewer complex with a labyrinth of tunnels. After the Mayor of Trovitopolis had abandoned his Bulbasaur when he was younger, it ended up living here all on its own. When Ash, Misty, and Tracey ended up in the sewers they were confronted by it, but didn't know it was a Bulbasaur until later.
Police station
The police station resembles a large apartment building with a police officer's cap in the middle. One wing of the station encloses a small jailing house.
