Toxic Thread (Japanese: どくのいと Toxic Thread) is a non-damaging Poison-type move introduced in Generation VII. It is the signature move of Spinarak and Ariados.
Effect
Toxic Thread poisons the target and lowers its Speed stat by one stage. Both effects are independent from each other; the target's Speed is still lowered even if it already has a status condition or cannot be poisoned, and it is still poisoned even if its Speed cannot be lowered.
If powered up by a Poisonium Z into Z-Toxic Thread, the user's Speed stat raises one stage.
