It is later mentioned during a meeting of the Island Kahunas, where Hala, Kahuna of Melemele Island, reports that it has recently appeared to large groups of people. He notes that the Tapus remain deep within their respective ruins rarely revealing themselves to humans, yet have recently appeared in public places filled with people. Hala comes to the conclusion that they have been angered.
The next day at Mahalo Trail, using its powers, Nebby causes a large explosion that breaks the bridge it and Moon were standing on, leaving both to fall into the water below. Moon and Nebby are saved by Tapu Koko, who flies down and catches the two and brings them back to safety and quickly leaves again.
