Go's Dewgong (Japanese: ゴウジュゴン Go's Jugon) is the first Pokémon that Go caught in the Sinnoh region, and his twenty third overall.
History
Dewgong debuted in SS010, where Go caught it whilst he and Ash were making their way to Dragonite Island. Dewgong proved to be a hard Pokémon to catch and it cost Go all of his Poké Balls but in the end, Go caught it, officially adding it to his team. Go and Ash then rode across the sea on Dewgong but during their journey, Dewgong spotted another Dewgong and fell in love with it and chased after it, ignoring Go's requests to stop. This led the group into a storm which caused Dewgong to get separated from its trainer.
Dewgong was reunited with Go just as they were about to leave Dragonite Island to follow a group of Dragonite that had just left. Dewgong had been unable to find the other Dewgong and gave Go and Ash a lift to follow the Dragonite where one of them had been caught by Team Rocket.
In SS015, Go sent Dewgong out to explore a lake where a group of Mankey had dropped a Cubone's bone in, using its Ice type as a barrier against the cold. Exploring the lake, Dewgong found the bone and retrieved it.
Personality and characteristics
Dewgong proved itself a hard Pokémon to catch, as seen in SS010 where it took Go all of his Poké Balls to catch it. When Dewgong spots another Dewgong, it is shown to fall in love with it and chase after it, as seen in SS010 when it ignored Go's commands to chase after another Dewgong.
