Koshimizu was born on February 15, 1986, in Kokubunji, Tokyo, Japan, and became a voice actress and singer as an adult. She first provided her voice for Mariah, a character of the day who appeared in Pokémon the Series: Ruby and Sapphire of the Pokémon anime. She then returned during Pokémon the Series: Sun & Moon, where she voiced recurring character Nina.
