POP Series 3 is the name given to a special set of cards for the Pokémon Trading Card Game. It was released through Pokémon Organized Play events or affiliated products.
Information
POP Series 3 was the third Pokémon Organized Play promotional set released by Nintendo and debuted during the 2006 Regional Championships. Due to its late release (rather than being released late in the City Championships schedule as later POP sets would be) and the lack of boosters available at various Regionals, POP Series 3 was available for only four months, the shortest lifespan of any POP Series set to date.
Trivia
- This set features the first tournament legal card with more than one Pokémon as a part of it - Pichu Bros.
- The booster design for the set features Vaporeon, Jolteon, and Flareon.
- All of the rare cards have holographic versions and were available through several waves of promotional items, such as Value Packs and Collector Tins.
