It's a Chinese concept used to describe and calculate the best positions for buildings, ergo space. The closest Dialga has is Dial, there isn't really a spiritual concept for time calculation, the dial was a physical one. Fallic Imagery?

Anyone else think this Pokémon looks like a wang? I mean, it looks a lot like one. Anybody?

First off, it's spelled "Phallic". Second, no. We have Stunky looking like an ass, but I don't think that Game Freak would make a Pokémon that looks like that, at least not intentionally.

please forgive my improper format, I've only been exposed to Wikis a short time and do not have a great grasp of how to sign my name using the system's mark-up language. But onto the matter at hand.

Intentional or not. There is certainly a degree of ambigious phallic imagery concerning Palkia. If one removes the rest of the image and looks only at the neck and head-plate. Then its very easy to mistake it for a circumcized phallus.

Taking this a step further, if one includes the pair of armored shoulder spheres. Then from certain angles they appear to be testicles. If you want a good reference image, check Palkia's sprite when deployed as part of your team.

I doubt there was any malicious intent with this. In some countries and traditions the phallus is seen as an icon of strength, etc, etc. Though I don't think this was the intent either.

I think in the end, it just happend to turn out looking that way, either by accident or because of some artist's subconscious.

I don't believe its worth any kind of mention though in the main article. No noteworthy source has called attention to it, and much like inkblots or dreams, its open to one's individual interpretation. As Freud said: "Sometimes a cigar is just a cigar."Roke Tanuki 06:32, 24 July 2007 (UTC)

Combine the positioning of back sprite with the colour of the shiny sprite. Intentional or not, that is phallic imagery. --FabuVinny |Talk Page| 15:11, 21 May 2008 (UTC)
So are we gonna put in the article that it looks like a giant Pokédong or what? I think we ought not to... TTEchidna 03:10, 26 May 2008 (UTC)
I think it's not a good idea to put it in the article, and I don't think either it's a great idea to put in Stunky's Origin section that its face looks like buttocks. Some things are obvious enough to be in some articles and some are just some people's imagination. Yes, Phallkia looks like a phallus, but only if you want to see it.hfc2X 04:19, 26 May 2008 (UTC)
What the (bleep!) is wrong with you people?!!?!??!!?!!?!?!?!?!!! Great, I just peed in my pants because of you! Not literally of course but still! --StewiesGiratina 04:01, 14 December 2008 (UTC)

Um... do you really think Nintendo would base a Pokémon on something like that? OK, so Stunky's resemblance to a bottom is sort of understandable, but not this! And is this really the best place to talk about it? To my knowledge, the Discussion pages are accessable by all site visitors, and we don't really want eight-year-olds reading it. I personally cannot really see the resemblance anyway; OK, so it's long and pink, but then so is a pink sock, or a sausage. Unless Palkia gets a new attack in Generation V called Urine Cannon, I'm afraid I am going to dismiss this case as nonsense. Taromon777 18:35, 7 February 2009 (UTC)

Wow. This is the most retarded thing i've ever heard. This is even stupider then the people who claim to see "that thing" in disney movies. - unsigned comment from Morgil27 (talkcontribs)

Tootsies

I just read the trivia on Pearly-boi's footprint and I am all up for putting footprint sprites into all Pokémon articles. Anyone else like this idea? --Manga-in-a-bottle 23:50, 17 January 2008 (UTC)

I think that we should add it to the sprite table. Ask an admin about it. --Theryguy512

Either that or in the infobox. Tina δ 00:04, 18 January 2008 (UTC)
And what about Pokémon cries? Someone would like to hear them... I can upload them in *.ogg format. If someone agrees I can upload something =) hfc2X 16:22, 14 April 2008 (UTC)
Well, the link between Bulbapedia and the Archives isn't exactly perfect right about now. Some stuff uploaded that should be showing up isn't (List of English opening themes is a good example; all 11 images in the first table are uploaded, but Bulbapedia only recognizes the first 7).
While I say we could use the Pokémon cries, now's not a good time to upload them. The problems between Bulbapedia and the Archives should be ironed out first before such a task is undertaken. --Shiningpikablu252 16:28, 14 April 2008 (UTC)

I think it would be cool to add their cries. I've actually recorded the cries of Dialga, Palkia, Giratina, and Darkrai... Maybe I could upload them (with my dad's help; I'm only 12, remember. I don't know how to upload them in a certain format). パルキアJosh 22:05, 20 December 2008 (UTC)

I have the 493 cries (missing Shaymin's Sky Forme Cry) all ripped from their original games (001-150 from RBY, 152-251 from GSC and so on) so they don't lose quality. I only wait for permission to upload them. hfc2X 22:41, 20 December 2008 (UTC)

second time

if the player talks to Lucas/Dawn in pearl after defeating palkia and probably other conditions are met then he will say palkia reappeared on spear pillar(i think only if u didn't catch it.). Yes, that does happen.I accidentally defeated my Palkia(with Close Combat), and I didn`t even have to talk to Dawn to make it reappear.MistikaPhantoka72 04:52, 3 August 2008 (UTC)

Catch Rate?

It says it the Trivia Section that Palkia, Dialga, and Phione, are the legendary that has the highest catch rate. But what about Shaymin? It has a catch rate of 45! Palkia38 03:41, 10 August 2008 (UTC)

Awfully Similar Cry

Am I the only one who seem to reconize Palkia's roar in the anime? It sounds like a freaking large reptile creature from Star Wars!!! I think it was from Episode III Revenge of the Sith but I forgot what those creatures are called. "Veraractyl" or something like that?. . .

Also, Palkia's roar seems to have two different parts. I just described the first part, now to tell about the second one. It sounds like a jet engine with an earthquake! How odd, I just saw this Godzilla video on YouTube and there was an opponent called King Ghidorah or something like that. . . and it sounds EXACTLY like Palkia's second roar! Hmmm. . . must have been recorded or something. . . --StewiesGiratina 04:18, 14 December 2008 (UTC)

Wow, i always thought its anime cry sounded familiar. Thanks for figuring it out.Morgil27 02:41, 19 November 2009 (UTC)

Anime section

Why don't wee just make Dialga (anime) and Palkia (anime) to the main sections of the anijme versions of Dialga and Palkia? it is impossible to have multiple creators and rulers of time and space, aswell as mutliple multiple creators of the universe. theropod vs. iguanodon

Ohai. The article states Palkia looks like a "theropod, the bipedal carnivorous dinosaurs" but I think it's much more of an iguanodon or the like.
