Long Reach (Japanese: えんかく Distant) is an Ability introduced in Generation VII. It is the signature Ability of Rowlet's evolutionary line.
Effect
In battle
If the Pokémon uses a contact move, it will not activate any effects caused by contact.
Affected moves
The table below lists the moves affected by Long Reach, as well as the Pokémon that can have Long Reach and learn those moves.
|
Although other contact moves are also affected by the Ability, they cannot be learned by any Pokémon with Long Reach. They may, however, be called via Metronome, Mirror Move, Copycat, or Mimic, or be used by a Pokémon that gained Long Reach by an Ability like Trace or Receiver or a move such as Skill Swap or Role Play.
Outside of battle
Long Reach has no effect outside of battle.
