This card was included in the {{TCG|EX Legend Maker}} expansion, first released in the Japanese {{TCG|Mirage Forest}} expansion. In Japan, it was reprinted as a Holofoil {{TCG|PCG-P Promotional cards|PCG-P Promotional card}} and was awarded to participants of the regional Summer 2005 Battle Road events who reached the final round of the main tournament.

React Energy was the first Energy card in the TCG to provide a single unit of {{TCG|Colorless}} Energy with no additional effects. There are, however, a number of Pokémon from the {{TCG|EX Legend Maker}} expansion that feature {{TCG|Poké-Power}}s, {{TCG|Poké-Body|Poké-Bodies}}, and attacks that beneficially interact with it. A similar mechanic involving {{TCG ID|Plasma Storm|Plasma Energy|127}} was later featured on cards from the Black & White Series.

This card was included in the EX Legend Maker expansion, first released in the Japanese Mirage Forest expansion. In Japan, it was reprinted as a Holofoil PCG-P Promotional card and was awarded to participants of the regional Summer 2005 Battle Road events who reached the final round of the main tournament.
