Takumi Akabane
Takumi Akabane is a former research and development director at Creatures, Inc., having been a part of the company since at least 1994, when he was listed as a chief debugger on the game EarthBound, before resigning in 2008. He is credited with creating the Pokémon Trading Card Game alongside Tsunekazu Ishihara and Kouichi Ooyama, and acted as its creative director from 2001 to 2008, after which he was succeeded in that role by Atsushi Nagashima. Akabane has a cameo appearance as Club Master Akabane (Ken in the English version of the game).
TCG work
As creative director of the Pokémon Trading Card Game, he oversaw the entire team that handles a wide variety of game-related activities, including developing specific product concepts, developing and implementing strategic game mechanics, creating artwork, and managing events.[1] He also attended various special events and signings.
