This card was released as one of the SM Black Star Promos, made available in the English Alola Collection on November 18, 2016. In Japan, it was released as part of the Pikachu's New Friends Collection. It was later included in the General Mills Sun & Moon Mini Packs packaged in select cereals starting August 22, 2017, with the Sequin Holofoil pattern.
