The eighth TCG Series, the HeartGold & SoulSilver TCG Series, was the Series that maintained the steady flow of TCG merchandise during the year of 2010, until the release of Call of Legends. Throughout the year, a variety of products, ranging from Collector's Tins to Theme Decks and Blister Packs, were released in order to promote the card game, and ultimately, the Pokémon HeartGold and SoulSilver video games. Below is a chronological list of all merchandise items released during the HeartGold & SoulSilver TCG Series.

HeartGold & SoulSilver Theme Decks

The first promotional product released during this Series were the preconstructed Theme Decks for the HeartGold & SoulSilver expansion on February 10, 2010. This expansion featured three different decks—Growth Clash, Ember Spark, and Mind Flood—featuring the three final evolutions of the Johto first partner Pokémon. Each 60 card deck featured an additional type: Growth Clash with the Fighting-type, Ember Spark with the Lightning-type, and Mind Flood with the Psychic-type. Each Theme Deck contained a rulebook, damage counters, status counters, a custom coin, one single-player mat, and a deckbox.

HeartGold & SoulSilver Blisters

The HeartGold & SoulSilver expansion brought additional Three Pack Blisters and Two Pack Blisters in order to promote the Pokémon Trading Card Game. Released with the set and Theme Decks on February 10, 2010, four different promotional cards were made available within the three different products. The Three Pack Blisters have two varieties: one with a Pikachu promotional card, and one with a Wobbuffet promotional card. These Blisters also include two HeartGold & SoulSilver booster packs, one Legends Awakened pack, and a coin featuring either Shieldon or Cranidos, a coin first released in the Mysterious Treasures Theme Decks. The Two Pack Blister featured the Noctowl evolutionary line, with both a Hoothoot promotional card and a Noctowl promotional card in Cosmos Holofoil prints, one HeartGold & SoulSilver booster pack, and one POP Series 9 booster pack.
