Neo TCG Era merchandise

Included in the Neo Era was the original collection of merchandise released in commemoration of Pokémon Gold and Silver. Featuring only four expansions, the amount of products released were smaller compared to other Eras later in the future of the Pokémon Trading Card Game. Below is a chronological list of all the items released during the Japanese Neo Era of the Trading Card Game.
Premium File
Celebrating the release of Pokémon Gold and Silver, the Premium File (Japanese: プレミアムファイル) was made available on December 10, 1999. The Premium File includes special prints of the Generation II first partner Pokémon and their evolutions for a total of nine cards. The file also comes with a card book.

Starter Pack
Similarly to the very first Starter Deck released in 1996, the Neo era Starter Pack (Japanese: スターターパック), released on February 4, 2000, includes a random assortment of cards from Gold, Silver, to a New World.... Unlike the original Starter Deck, there is some structure to the Neo version, which features two sets of corresponding Basic Pokémon and Evolution cards among the 60 cards included in the deck. The deck also comes with 18 additional Energy cards for a total of 78 cards, plus a set of damage and status counters, a coin, and rulebook.

Premium File 2
The Premium File 2 (Japanese: プレミアムファイル2) was released as an accompaniment with the second Neo era expansion Crossing the Ruins... and includes a set of nine special cards. Three cards have ties to Spell of the Unown: Entei: Charizard, Entei, and Pichu from the supplementary Pikachu short Pikachu & Pichu. All of these cards feature a Cosmos Reverse Holofoil treatment. The file was first made available in participating cinemas showing Spell of the Unown: Entei from July 8, 2000, with the general release following on August 5, 2000.

Premium File 3
The Premium File 3 (Japanese: プレミアムファイル3) was released on November 23, 2000 as a precursor to the Awakening Legends expansion and once again features a set of nine special cards, collectively representing every type in the TCG. The majority of these cards depict Legendary Pokémon: Lugia, Ho-Oh, the TCG debut of Celebi, plus Entei, Raikou, and Suicune, which feature prominently in the Awakening Legends expansion.

Pokémon Card GB2: Here Comes Team GR! Official Guidebook

The Pokémon Card GB2: Here Comes Team GR! Official Guidebook was released on May 1, 2001. It is a strategy guide to the TCG and the Pokémon Trading Card Game 2: The Invasion of Team GR! video game for the Game Boy Color. Included with new copies of the book was the promotional card Dark Fearow.

Intro Pack Neo
Ending the Neo era in similar fashion to the Original era, the Intro Pack Neo (Japanese: イントロパック★neo) was made available on April 6, 2001. The set contains two 30-card half decks to allow beginners to experience both instant battle and a shorter variation of play. Both have accompanying 10-card side decks that include useful cards that can be integrated into the existing half decks. Most of the cards are sourced from previously released expansions, though several are exclusive to the set. The set also comes with a beginners rulebook, damage and status counters, a coin, and a play mat.
