Release information
This card was included as a Regular card, a Full Art card, and a Special Full Art card in the Evolving Skies expansion, first released in the Japanese Blue Sky Stream expansion. The Regular and Full Art prints feature artwork by PLANETA Mochizuki, while the Special Full Art print features artwork by Ryuta Fuse.
It was reprinted as one of the SWSH Black Star Promos with different artwork by PLANETA Mochizuki and was available in the V Battle Deck—Rayquaza vs. Noivern from October 8, 2021. In Japan, this print was a S-P Promotional card and was available as part of the Dragon Pokémon V Get Challenge campaign, which began on July 9, 2021. For every ten Skyscraping Perfection booster packs or every ten Blue Sky Stream booster packs purchased in one transaction at participating stores, customers would receive a Promo Card Pack containing one of five possible cards. Customers who were able to purchase a booster box of either Skyscraping Perfection or Blue Sky Stream via the Pokémon Center Online were also given one Promo Card Pack per purchase.[1] The Japanese version of this print has the campaign logo on the right side of the artwork. The campaign ran for as long as stocks lasted.
In Japan, the Evolving Skies Regular print was reprinted in the VMAX Climax subset, in the Start Deck 100 (as a Non Holofoil), in the Charizard VSTAR vs Rayquaza VMAX Special Deck Set, and in the VSTAR Universe subset. Outside Asia, the Evolving Skies Regular print was reprinted in the special Crown Zenith expansion. The Crown Zenith print was later available as an oversized card in the Crown Zenith Premium Collection—Sea & Sky from August 14, 2024.
