Forrester Franklin (Japanese: タクマ・イチロー Ichirō Takuma) is a character of the day who appeared in All in a Day's Wurmple. Forrest Franklin is Forrester's identical twin brother; Forrester is distinguished by his orange t-shirt and a mole on the right side of his face.
Forrester was born in the forested outskirts of Rustboro City and had just returned after traveling with his Pokémon for a long time.
When Forrester first met Ash, he asked for a battle as he was impressed by Pikachu's strength. He taught Ash about Double Battles and they held the first Double Battle in the anime since the introduction of the concept to the games in Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire, though the anime had previously featured one in Pokémon Double Trouble. Forrester's Ariados and Yanma used many combination attacks to provide a threat, but were still defeated by Ash's Pikachu and Treecko. This defeat made Forrester realize that he still had more work to do on his battle skills.
Forrester joined the group for lunch where he was later reunited with Forrest. When Forrest announced his decision to travel, Forrester promised that he would watch over the forest for him.
