History
J's client first appeared in Pokémon Ranger and the Kidnapped Riolu! (Part 1), where he was met with his henchmen after they successfully stole the Aura Sphere Riolu from a laboratory facility. After Riolu escaped from his clutches, he contacted Hunter J to capture Riolu on his behalf.
In Pokémon Ranger and the Kidnapped Riolu! (Part 2), he was pleased to learn that Riolu was captured and met J to collect it. However, Ash, his friends, Officer Jenny, and Pokémon Rangers Kellyn and Solana intervened. Hunter J quickly left in her airship, leaving her client and his crew to handle them.
While his henchmen helped stall the pursuit, Ash and Kellyn caught up to him by a cave. J's client prevented the pair from gaining on him by having his Aggron block the entrance with Rock Smash.
