Serene Village (Japanese: おだやか村 Serene Village) is the starting village in Pokémon Super Mystery Dungeon. At the beginning of the game, the player is taken here by Nuzleaf and lives in his house. The player meets their partner as well as the schoolchildren and other village folk.
Points of interest
School
The school is located north of the village and is run by principal Simipour and vice principal Watchog, and is where the player goes every day during the first part of the game. The students include the player, partner, Goomy, Espurr, a Spring Form Deerling, Shelmet, and Pancham. Much of the early story takes place here. The students are taught by Farfetch'd and the school nurse is an Audino, who is also the head doctor of the village.
Plaza
Kecleon Shop

This shop is run by Kecleon, and sells food, Wonder Orbs, TMs, and other various items. The Deposit Box is found next to it.
Hawlucha's Slam School

This shop is run by Hawlucha, and is opened the day after Sylveon is rescued from Foreboding Forest. Hawlucha can help Pokémon re-learn or forget unwanted moves free of charge, as well as change Abilities, provided they have a Lucha Token.

Residential area
The west side of Serene Village is home to the Residential district. The northernmost house is home to the player's partner and their guardian, Carracosta. Just south of that is Nuzleaf's residence, where the player lives. The house west of Nuzleaf's belongs to Roselia and her daughter, Budew. The southernmost home belongs to Espurr, who lives by herself.
Hill with the big tree
South of village proper is a hill with the big tree. The hill provides a scenic view of the entire village. South of the hill is the road leading to the Open Pass and Lush Forest.
