::::::There are some Gen II Pokemon that can only be caught in the Kanto section of those games; i.e. Houndour at Route 7. So, I think not. — [[User talk:The dark lord trombonator|THE TROM]] — 23:47, 20 January 2009 (UTC) |

hey, what did u think of those GBA pics? Zelos
- It's a good idea, but I need to know a few more things - what version are they from? - 振霖T 07:12, 11 September 2005 (CDT)
- its from emerald, how so? i have all those pics if u want it.Btw we could add it in the list aswell. Zelos
- maybe, but where i got this pics they aint. But if they dont does it really matter? Zelos
- Did you happen to get them from Serebii.net? His Emerald sprites aren't animated. We can't take sprites from someone else's site without permission. --Argy 11:58, 11 September 2005 (CDT)
- have you tried to save a pic from that site? yo cant even copy text so how would i get the pictures from it? atleast i couldnt save them from that site. a friend gave me those, where he got them i dont know
- The Emerald sprites are used as avatars in the forums there, and those can be saved easily. I am not accusing you of stealing (frankly, a sprite is a sprite no matter its origin). I am just trying to avoid inter-site conflicts (even though it is doubtful other sites would be able to tell the origin of our sprites). --Argy 15:46, 11 September 2005 (CDT)
- good good
Sprites aside, I seem to have found somthng wrong in the game. The Beldums I've seen are at level 53, long after they should have evolved.
- Pokémon don't have to evolve as soon as they are able to. Where did you see them? If it was an in-game trainer, then they often have Pokémon at levels where they could be a higher evolutionary form. --FabuVinny T-C-S 17:01, 30 July 2007 (UTC)
- Wild Beldums are naturally level 52 or 53, can't remember which. Jonah 17:03, 30 July 2007 (UTC)
I found it on route 228 during a mass outbreak.
But if they are past level 45, when they should have evolved into metagross, when do they evolve?
- Pokémon can always delay evolution until any level after their evolution level. So, technicaly, Beldum can - but do not necessarily have to - evolve into Metang at any level from 20 to 100. --Pie ~♪♫ 17:44, 30 July 2007 (UTC)
Sandstorm damage question
In the trivia section for Beldum it says:
- "However, in Generation IV, Beldum can be found as a swarm on Route 228, making Beldum incredibly difficult to capture due to both its self-damaging move and the ever-present sandstorm."
However Steel types are not normally effected by Sandstorm, which does not hit Steel, Ground or Rock type pokemon. In my version of Pearl I have observed Beldum quite happily getting about in a Sandstorm without taking any damage from it.
Does the Sandstorm have some other effect on catch rates that I don't know about? If not, can someone confirm or deny the damage aspect so we can change the trivia? Castorquinn 14:53, 9 April 2008 (UTC)
- Sandstorm raises SpDef for all Steel, Rock, and Ground-types. So it's rather difficult to capture, since stat raises make Pokémon hard to catch ((not sure about that)) Tina☆♫ 17:51, 9 April 2008 (UTC)
- that's when sandstorm is used as a move, if sandstorm is just the normal weather, it will not affect stats. Donate a mudkip to 折り紙ガイ today! 18:30, 9 April 2008 (UTC)
- Okay, so am I okay to remove the reference to the sandstorm weather effect from that line of trivia? All the other information is accurate. Castorquinn 23:16, 9 April 2008 (UTC)
- Is There any proof that the sandstorm boost doesn't occur on natural sandstorms? I've never heard of it before. Shiny Lanturn 13:27, 17 June 2008 (UTC)
- I think all are the same, may it be by move or area. tc26 13:29, 17 June 2008 (UTC)

Umm...
Beldum is the only Pokémon in a regional Dex that must be gotten post-Elite Four, right? Excluding trading, because of Beldum, you can't complete the Hoenn Dex pre-Elite Four, right? PH1RESTRIKE 00:05, 14 January 2009 (UTC)
- What about Dialga in Pearl/Palkia in Diamond? — Laoris (Blah) 00:11, 14 January 2009 (UTC)
- No, you can see it in the book right after Stark Mountain quest. Sinnoh can be fully dexed before the E4; this has been discussed previously and I think Zhen did it. — THE TROM — 08:44, 14 January 2009 (UTC)
