Ninjask (Japanese: テッカニン Tekkanin) is a dual-type Bug/Flying Pokémon.
It evolves from Nincada starting at level 20.
Biology
Physiology
Ninjask are small Pokémon that bear great resemblance to a cicada. They also have gleaming red eyes and a pair of large wings.
Gender differences
None.
Special abilities
Ninjask is one of the fastest Pokémon to date. Because of its blinding speed, it was once thought to be invisible.

Ninjask normally drink tree sap, but they also eat berries, like most other Pokémon.
In the anime
Colonel Hansen used two Ninjask, along with a Shedinja, against the group in The Princess and the Togepi and A Togepi Mirage.
In From the Cradle to Save a student in the ninja training school named Evian used a Ninjask as his partner in training.
Brandon used his Ninjask against Ash in a battle, in Pace - The Final Frontier.
In the flashback in Glory Blaze, it is revealed that Paul previously caught a Ninjask; however, it is not seen outside of the flashback and it is unknown if he still has it.

Trivia
- Ninjask has the second highest Speed of any Pokémon in the games. It is surpassed only by the Speed Form of Deoxys. With its ability, Speed Boost, and proper EV training in Speed, it is able to be the fastest of all Pokémon barring Skill Swapping its ability onto Speed Form Deoxys.
- Ninjask cannot learn any Template:Type2 moves via level-up despite it being Flying-type.
Origin
It may have been based on a fully adult cicada.
Name origin
Ninjask's name may be a combination of ninja and mask. Its Japanese name may be a combination of 鉄火 tekka, gunfire, and ninja.
