:::Yes, that's how it works. The egg basically "learns" each move on that list in turn, then each egg move/TM move that the father knows, forgetting the earliest learned ones like in the day care whenever it gets to a fifth move. [[User:Werdnae|Werdnae]] [[User talk:Werdnae|(talk)]] 08:29, 19 February 2011 (UTC)
==Mankey name origin==
Maybe the name is a reference to the movie "The Return of the Pink Panther? I just recently watched it again and the main character, Inspector Clouseau, has an opening scene where he keeps on rambling about some begging monkey. But because he has an outlandish French accent all he ever says is something between "mankey" and "minky". Thought that, that might be worth mentioning. The movie released in 1975 so someone who watched it growing up, would have been in the right age when the games were first localised. Still, all of it is speculation of course. {{Unsigned|Dippi}} |

Mankey name origin
Maybe the name is a reference to the movie "The Return of the Pink Panther? I just recently watched it again and the main character, Inspector Clouseau, has an opening scene where he keeps on rambling about some begging monkey. But because he has an outlandish French accent all he ever says is something between "mankey" and "minky". Thought that, that might be worth mentioning. The movie released in 1975 so someone who watched it growing up, would have been in the right age when the games were first localised. Still, all of it is speculation of course. - unsigned comment from Dippi (talk • contribs)
