A Key (Japanese: カギ Key) is an item that can be used to open Locked Chambers in dungeons in the Pokémon Mystery Dungeon series. These Chambers need to be opened with a key; other means of entering (Rock Smash, Mobile Scarf) do not allow access to the Chamber. They are generally rare and difficult to obtain, usually appearing in later dungeons as a random floor item, or bought from Kecleon Shops.
In Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Rescue Team DX, Keys are replaced by Invitations.
