Not sure, but was this the first time the term "starter Pokémon" was used officially? At least in the anime? From what I can remember, starter Pokémon was mainly a fanon term. I was watching the preview of BW001 in the final episode of Diamond and Pearl and I noticed that the battle of Trip and Ash happens differently from episode itself.
For example, both fighting in different locations in the episode they fight in a normal kind of forest is that the preview was on location in the city.
It deserves to be mentioned somewhere?

A remixed version of the music from Accumula Town (when the plane lands in Unova) and the music from Routes 6, 7, 8 and 9 (on their way to Juniper's lab) is used (in the English dub at least). I don't know what other music pieces are used and whether this is worth mentioning in the Trivia. It seems stuff like this has been mentioned in previous episodes, for example, in DP001. I think we shoudnt put Iris in! we dont know if she appears, especially because she has an episode entiteled for her self! - unsigned comment from Eneci (talkcontribs)
True, I also think Dento shouldn't be there until it's confirmed he will appear. Speculation and all.. Ive edited it --samm -- 20:50, 7 September 2010 (UTC)
Iris Confirmed we saw her in the preview! Eneci 10:31, 9 September 2010 (UTC)
this is a 1 hour episode... Ataro 10:33, 9 September 2010 (UTC)
she is seen looking up at the storm clouds caused by Zekrom. I'd say thats confirmed that she's in this episode then. shokuwarrior 13:03, 9 September 2010 (GMT)

Zekrom Debut

It says that Zekrom will debut in the episode. But the title says "Zekrom's Shadow". Shadow. That doesn't neccesarily mean that it will appear. Pawsrent 02:00, 8 September 2010 (UTC)

Still, we don't know for sure and it will stay this way until the episode airs. If it appears a la the Lake Guardians we will make it look similar to their debuts. --HoennMaster 02:44, 8 September 2010 (UTC)

Regarding this

I don't believe the user who posted that was complaining about Pikachu being in the series. I think he was pointing out that something bad had happened to Pikachu every time Ash visited a new region. (Getting sick, getting lost, etc.)--Cold (talk) 20:27, 23 September 2010 (UTC)

Just Updated the Synopsis

But it's still pretty bad. I hope someone else would work on it. (Holonboy 00:34, 26 October 2010 (UTC))

Age trivia

It says in the trivia about the anniversary of Ash and Pikachu. Judging from that its safe to say Ash has had at least two birthdays: First was around the time of the Indigo League as he got his Earth Badge exactly 1year after starting his journey according to the narration. Second would be the Anniversary of him and Pikachu. Just thought you lot should know. --Lycos Ex Mortis 02:51, 9 November 2010 (UTC)

Actually make that 3 birthdays by the episode Pikachu and Pichu. According to his page his date of birth was 10years 10months and 10days before his journey started. So by the time he competed in the Indigo League he would have had 2 birthdays: one being two months after the start of his journey. The second about the time the Indigo League tournament started/ended. --Lycos Ex Mortis 02:54, 9 November 2010 (UTC)

It's all possible but it is only a cartoon. Don't take it too seriously. :/ There have been worse fumbles and things that don't make much sense in the series. Jo The Marten 02:56, 9 November 2010 (UTC)
I know and I'm not taking it too seriously. I'm just saying its trivia I figure you guys would like to know to put on a page somewhere --Lycos Ex Mortis 03:35, 9 November 2010 (UTC)
Possibly. I'll let someone with more experience decide. Sorry for the misunderstanding, I thought you were arguing with the fact that he's still 10 after 3 possible years. :P Cheers. Jo The Marten 03:40, 9 November 2010 (UTC)
I hope you don't mind me saying this, but it is possible that a year hasn't passed at all. Technically, a year is the amount of time in which the planet takes to revolve the Sun. However, there is no evidence within the series that the planet is the same Earth as the Earth of our solar system. (Holonboy 18:48, 25 November 2010 (UTC))
It was confirmed a long time ago that more than a year has passed. Characters don't age it's simple as that. --HoennMaster 19:33, 25 November 2010 (UTC)

But what about how the Pokemon leagues are held once a year and Ash has been to 4, not counting the Orange League or the Battle Frontier? - unsigned comment from Dragonace (talkcontribs) .

Yeah, for each region. Who said they are all held at the exact same time of the year? Anyway, it's still a cartoon and does not have to apply to the laws of the universe. --ケンジガール 01:09, 13 February 2011 (UTC)
On that note, if there is any "The Simpsons" fans out there, they know that Bart Simpson has had NUMEROUS school years and yet he is still the same age. It happens in "most" cartoons. Just accept it. - Vhayes1992 01:32, 13 February 2011 (UTC)

Shiki...Deerling

Does the Deerling form indicate that these episodes take place in Unova's springtime?--Derenol232 03:07, 29 January 2011 (UTC)

Yes, I suppose it does. - unsigned comment from Missingno. Master (talkcontribs) 03:14, 29 January 2011 (UTC)
Just to clarify, I said Unova's springtime to make any evidence of speculation very very minute, taking hemispheres into consideration--Derenol232 03:20, 29 January 2011 (UTC)

Who's that Pokémon?

Where do I insert what the Who's That Pokémon thing, in trivia or before? Gliscorguy54 17:34, 12 February 2011 (UTC)

Anime physics

Trip's Snivy was able to defeat Ash's Pikachu without any problems despite Pikachu being in a higher level. The battle that happened can be a concept of anime physics as the levels of Pokémon have been ignored. For example, a Lv. 10 Tentacool defeating a Lv. 60 Gible without any problems fits the situation. PattyMan 19:05, 13 February 2011 (UTC)
