Never misses?
Since the second or third generation swift has had the tendency to miss if the user digs or flies - it's happened a lot to me with swift and other unmissable attacks. It's happened in several of my games so it can't just be a fluke. --Woodland Mudkip ☆ 14:45, 1 December 2007 (UTC)
Sorry, it already says this. It still seems like a false statement to say it never misses though--Woodland Mudkip ☆ 14:48, 1 December 2007 (UTC)

- I just changed the wording from "does not make contact" to "cannot hit" to be clear that this is not about contact as defined by Generation III onwards -- Swift never contacts the opponent to begin with, but it will only miss if the opponent deliberately evades the attack (Fly/Dig, Protect, etc). --Stratelier 17:38, 24 February 2011 (UTC)
- Also, in Generation I there's a 1/256 (~0.4%) chance that it will miss, like the other '100% accuracy' moves. [1] --Chickasaurus 17:46, 24 February 2011 (UTC)
Dive: Generation I and II
Dive does not exist in Generation I or II, so mentioning it in the description for the attack under those headings is inaccurate. - unsigned comment from Improv (talk • contribs)
- Learn to read, it says Dig, not Dive. And remember to sign your comments on talk pages with four tildes (~~~~), this was already mentioned in your welcome message (I hope you already read it through). UltimateSephiroth (about me · chat · edits) 14:15, 6 December 2008 (UTC)
- Actually, it said Dive before I removed it. I forgot to say I removed it because my dad interrupted me. The Dark Fiddler - Smarter than the average bear! 14:17, 6 December 2008 (UTC)
Umbreon: In the Anime section
Umbreon's use of swift in the "In the Anime" section is copied from Glameow's as "The tip of Glameow's tail glows yellow and then it fires out yellow stars." I have not seen Umbreon use the move in the anime so I cannot fix this myself, I am just bringing it to the attention of anyone who can. - unsigned comment from Convoy (talk • contribs)

Eevee in Gen I

- I'd be happy to, but I don't have an Eevee at the moment to test it on, and didn't want to introduce an error - Eevee has some unusual characteristics, so it wouldn't have surprised me if it did have unusual STAB properties. BlueSoxSWJ 05:45, 28 August 2010 (UTC)
Big problem. Swift has the same number of variations as Quick Attack (move) and Hyper Beam (move). Should this change the pages? Gen VI Super Starter! (talk) 05:38, 15 January 2013 (UTC)
Pokemon Stadium
I assume "In Pokémon Stadium, Swift cannot hit a Pokémon in its semi-invulnerable turn." meant it cannot hit anyone using Dig or Fly, but it's false. [2] --Sckalez (talk) 02:38, 17 March 2022 (UTC)
