「Glitch City Laboratories」は「伝説のスターブロブ2」と友達です。

Hi, I'm Chickasaurus (alias Torchickens) or EvieMelody/Evie. I use the name Torchickens in most places, but on Bulbapedia I'm called Chickasaurus.

I used to be joint head admin of Glitch City Laboratories with Photon-Phoenix, until stepping down; but am still interested in glitches.

I'm also staff on Nintendo Independent Wiki Alliance member sites Starfy Wiki (now really working behind the scenes and to train my bad Japanese) and NintendoWiki, where I've found a new fascination with general Nintendo. (I also run an independent Sanrio Wiki).

She/her pronouns are preferred but any are OK.

Generation I and II glitch Pokémon base stats stat calculations (I edit this and then preview the page without saving to find the maximum and minimum stats):

  • Minimum stats are calculated with 0 EVs and IVs of 0.
  • Maximum stats are calculated with 63001 EVs and IVs of 15.
  • Total on other generations' scale counts this Pokémon's Special stat as both Special Attack and Special Defense.

Be careful when translating

When studying TEFL, my teacher told me "it takes a lot to truly know a word". Sometimes when people do translations from Japanese to English, the style/form/connotations are ignored - for instance; "difficulties" as opposed to "problem" - we don't ask "do you have a problem" but rather "you look troubled is there anyway I can help?"; in that case this may suggest you need to mix in with the culture too. Just like English, Japanese also has conjugations, like the dictionary form (する) , stem form (して), present indicative (します) and styles of language considered more polite than others. For this reason my Japanese above probably sounds broken too. (Also you need to do a balanced amount of listening, reading, writing, speaking to integrate in another country that uses a different language)

Don't rely much on Google Translate. It does create structure, but that structure needs fine-tuning with knowledge of grammar and style. There is also the complication that the completely wrong word is given; so before using a word, make sure it means the right thing. Is Kumo Ojiisan Mr. Clouds or Mr. Spider? (In Starfy he is Mr. Clouds). This is also why kanji helps, where in English you need to think more than a machine to distinguish e.g. crane (the bird) and crane (the machine at construction sites) (also when translating from English to Japanese be aware of honomyns).
