Schooling (Japanese: ぎょぐん Schooling) is an Ability introduced in Generation VII. It is the signature Ability of Wishiwashi.
Effect
In battle
If Wishiwashi is level 20 or higher and its HP is above 25% when it is sent out or at the end of a turn, it will change into its School Form. At the end of a turn, if its HP is equal to 25% or below, it will change back to its Solo Form.
Gastro Acid, Worry Seed, and Simple Beam fail if the target has the Ability Schooling. Role Play, Skill Swap, Entrainment, and Doodle fail if either Pokémon has Schooling. Schooling cannot be copied by Trace, Power of Alchemy, or Receiver. Schooling cannot be replaced by Mummy or Lingering Aroma, or suppressed by Core Enforcer or Neutralizing Gas. If a Pokémon other than Wishiwashi obtains Schooling with Imposter or Transform, the Pokémon will not change forms.
Outside of battle
Schooling has no effect outside of battle.
