Origins of Auras
It is mentioned in the Generation VII games. In Pokémon Ultra Sun and Pokémon Ultra Moon, it is mentioned by the Ultra Recon Squad that auras and Z-Crystals in fact originate from the Legendary Pokémon Necrozma. In the old days of Alola, Necrozma, Solgaleo and Lunala brought light to other worlds by traversing Ultra Wormholes. However, the ancestors of the Ultra Recon Squad grew greedy and sought to control Necrozma's light. This caused Necrozma to go mad and lose a part of its body. This part is said to have rained down on Alola in the form of Z-crystals, Auras and Sparkling Stones.
