::I doubt that Chronicles are subtitled. But if they are, that would confirm my theory that Shinji's dub name is Sean (I'm not going to tell it here, it's a long story, but it has an evidence). Of course I mean the Shinji from Legend Of Thunder, not the one from DP. And the name CAN be spelt Forest, in Pokémon Crystal there is an in-game trader (the one with Magneton) who is named Forest, spelt with one R. --[[User:Maxim|Maxim]] 18:56, 28 February 2007 (UTC)

:::But you see, in the games many names can be spelled differently, even in one game. So if in [[Pokémon Crystal Version]] the name is spelled Forest, it does not mean that is the proper way to spell it. Remember, any way a name is spelled is the right way. Names

Wait a second, the other kids do have names. At least in Japanese, they do -- Jiro, Saburo, Shiro (I think), Goro, and on down to eight @_@ I don't remember them all. I think one of the girls was Nanako. Ketsuban 03:50, 9 Jun 2005 (UTC)

Mmmm. Numbered names. It's an easy way of naming sons - Ichirō, Jirō, Saburō, Shirō, Gorō, Rokurō, Shichirō, Hachirō, Kurō, Jurō, and so on. Not very common with daughters though. I remember watching this comedy where a man named Sanji was addressed as Sanji-sama by a lady, and he said, chotto agete... and the lady called him Goji-sama, and later on, Hachiji-sama... - 振霖T 07:05, 9 Jun 2005 (UTC)

In English they have names too, but it's unknown who is who. Brock ticks off a lot of names at the end of "Showdown" --BJG

According to Dogasu's comparison for A Family That Battles Together Stays Together!, their Japanese names are Saburoh, Yomoko, Gorou, Mutsuko, Nanako, Yaoki, Kurou and Touko (Touko's dub name being Toko). Also, the names Brock mentioned at the end of Showdown in Pewter City are Susie, Timmy, Tommy and Cindy. --Sato 12:51, 1 November 2006 (UTC)

Disambig?

I wonder if there should be some disambiguation page titled Forest. It should cover Ilex Forest, Viridian Forest, Hakutai Forest, all othjer forests in Pokémon World and the character Forest, which could be moved to Forest (anime). What about it? --Maxim 17:22, 19 February 2007 (UTC)

I don't think that's needed. Generally, someone's not going to be looking up "Forests" in general for Pokemon as much as they'll look up specific, named forests. --Zeta 17:30, 19 February 2007 (UTC)

Actually, you never know. Someone could be a novice and think Eterna Forest is the only forest, or when looking for the Old Chateau they could search for forest. SD13 Simpsondude13>SD13 Talk 20:13, 22 December 2008 (UTC)

Spelling

Are you people sure his name has only 1 'R'? Generally, the name is spelled 'Forrest', it's my middle name. Also, Forrest Gump. Zurqoxn 23:13, 21 February 2007 (UTC)

The only official way to tell is by watching a subtitled version off the DVD. Unfortunately, I do not have a DVD that I can check with. I'm sure somebody here does have one and can confirm it. --PAK Man 19:44, 23 February 2007 (UTC)
I doubt that Chronicles are subtitled. --Maxim 18:56, 28 February 2007 (UTC)
Well, I hope someone figures it out soon, because I know that the HS01 article has his name as Forrest on it, and I don't know which one to change until we know how it's spelt. --Pie ~ 19:00, 28 February 2007 (UTC)
Well? XO --Pie ~ 02:49, 12 May 2007 (UTC)
The Chronicles DVDs don't have subtitles, unfortunately. --FabuVinny T-C-S 00:42, 13 May 2007 (UTC)
... do they have names anywhere? Credits? Anything? D: If not, I vote for it being moved to Forrest (it's more distinct as a name, IMO - and on a different note, maybe the page Forest could be used as a disambig for him and the different forests :x) --Pie ~ 01:44, 13 May 2007 (UTC)
There don't seem to be any official source for the spelling so I've moved it on the precedent of Master Hamm which does have an official source. The name origin isn't necessarily the exact spelling of the name when a slightly different one exists. --FabuVinny T-C-S 19:16, 19 May 2007 (UTC)

Gym Leader?

Is he actually made the Gym Leader? He wasn't in the dub and I've never heard a satisfactory explanation of the situation in the original. --FabuVinny T-C-S 19:16, 19 May 2007 (UTC)

Pokémon

Shouldn't marshtomp, forretress and ludicolo be placed here as well seeing as he is looking after them for Brock? TheAlmightyChris 22:15, 9 May 2008 (UTC)

We never see Brock explicitly give those three to Forrest. Ludicolo, in particular, seems to be under Lola's care. --FabuVinny |Talk Page| 18:29, 9 May 2008 (UTC)
