Flavor text Generation V Boosts the accuracy of its allies and itself. Generation VI Boosts the accuracy of its allies and itself. Generation VII Boosts the accuracy of its allies and itself. Generation VIII Boosts the accuracy of its allies and itself. Generation IX Boosts the accuracy of the Pokémon and its allies.

Victory Star (Japanese: しょうりのほし Victory Star) is an Ability introduced in Generation V. It is the signature Ability of Victini.

Effect

In battle

Victory Star increases the accuracy of moves used by the Pokémon with this Ability and its allies in battle by approximately 10% (or precisely, a factor of 4506/4096) of their original accuracy. Victory Star can stack and does so multiplicatively (which means if there are two ally Pokémon with this Ability, the accuracy increase is 21%).

Outside of battle

Victory Star has no effect outside of battle.

Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS/Wii U

Victini appears as a Poké Ball Pokémon, after playing 100-Man Smash at least once. It uses Victory Star, which causes fighters (and teammates, if any) who send it out to gain immunity to knockback and have their attack power boosted.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate

Victini returns as a Pokémon summoned from the Poké Ball, where it gives the summoner their Final Smash with Victory Star.

• In The Birth of the Best Pokémon Trainer!, Cheren mentioned that Monta's Victini had Victory Star as its Ability but Victini couldn't activate it due to Serperior's Gastro Acid rendering it useless.

In the TCG

Victory Star debuted as an Ability in the Pokémon Trading Card Game with Victini from the Noble Victories expansion. If a Pokémon with this Ability is in play, after the player flips any coins for an attack, they may ignore all results of the coin flips and repeat the coin flipping process once more. The player may only use one Victory Star Ability each turn.
