The Union Circle (Japanese: ユニオンサークル Union Circle) is a feature first introduced in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. It allows four players to connect with each other via local wireless or the Internet, enabling trading and battling between players as well as allowing them to travel through the game's areas and hold picnics together.
It is unlocked when the player first visits a Pokémon Center, after which it can be accessed from any Pokémon Center (as well as the Terarium's Central Plaza) or from the Poké Portal in the menu. The current time is shared between all players in the same instance while playing in co-op via the Union Circle, determined by the player hosting the group. While players are connected with each other, they cannot take part in Link Battles, Link Trades, or Tera Raid Battles with anyone but the other members of their group.

Picnics
- Main article: Picnic
The Union Circle allows players to visit each other's picnics and receive each other's Eggs through breeding. Players can also make sandwiches together. After the host of a picnic chooses to make sandwiches, any other members of the Union Circle can opt to join in by interacting with the table before the host starts the session.
Sharing Photos
Photographs taken while connected with other players can be shared among the members of the group. These photos can be viewed in the Participating Members section of the Union Circle menu.
Evolution
Finizen evolves into Palafin starting at level 38 when leveled up while connected with another player via the Union Circle.
Version-exclusive Pokémon
Most version-exclusive Pokémon can be encountered and caught by players of the opposite version who join a Union Circle. This includes Paradox Pokémon, which, unlike most version exclusives, cannot alternatively be found in non-event Tera Raid Battles. It excludes Koraidon and Miraidon, which require trading, and Armarouge and Ceruledge, which don't appear as symbol encounters, but can appear in Tera Raids, even solo raids in the opposite version that their Evolution items can be obtained in.
Shiny Pokémon
When multiple players join a co-op session via the Union Circle, each player has a radius where Pokémon will generate around them, and the chance of a Shiny Pokémon appearing, and their respective bonus Shiny rolls, are determined by the player that "caused" that Pokémon to appear. If multiple players stand near each other, one of the players spawns will take priority. If players stand near the player hosting the Union Circle, it appears to always prioritize the host player's spawns and respective Shiny chances.
