I don't believe Ash has ever actually seen Raikou, or any part of it, for that matter. The only time I recall seeing Raikou was during Houndoom's Special Delivery, in which only Togepi and Houndoom saw Raikou's tail. Ash and company weren't present at this time.  --SiderealOasis 00:57, 15 July, 2008 (UTC)

*In Pokémon Gold and Silver, Raikou is incorrectly depicted with short fangs, no cross, an orange cloud, and was missing its ears. This was fixed in Pokémon Crystal version.

It says that Raijuu is inspired by the term Raikou which means lightning. This seems patently false and is speculation that is unrelated to the name. Further it is already mentioned in the origin section that Raikou itself may be inspired by Raijuu, thus making this bit redundant.--Vanya (talk) 01:41, 22 March 2016 (UTC)

Raikou is not one of the "Legendary Dogs". It's one of the Legendary Beasts. However, "Legendary Cats" is more correct than "Dogs"... Entei is a lion, Raikou is a tiger and Suicune is a cheetah. - Taylor 21:49, 24 May 2007 (UTC)
