== Japanese names == | |||
There seems to be a bit of an edit war over the romanizations of Noland's and Anabel's Japanese names. To try to resolve this, I'd like to point out that Datsura and Lila (rather than Datura and Lilas) are the official spellings of these names, as used on Battle Frontier tshirts sold on the Japanese Pokémon Center website back in 2005.(I made a blurry closeup based on available archived images; actual closeups weren't archived, unfortunately) Additionally, while lilas is the French word for lilac, lila is the equivalent Spanish word.
As for Roulette Goddess Dahlia and Castle Butler Kokuran and Cattleya, I'm leaving their names alone because they have no known official spellings. Quagbert 02:46, 13 February 2009 (UTC)

== Individual Frontier Brain page names ==
Why are the pages for each individual Frontier Brain (as well as Subway Bosses and Battle Chatelaines) named with the Trainer classes included before their names? This isn't done for other characters on the site (Gym Leaders, Elite Four, etc.), even the ones who have unique Trainer classes (Mystery Man Eusine, Galactic Boss Cyrus, Lorekeeper Zinnia, etc.) It's not very consistent with the rest of the site; not even for the sake of disambiguation, since we use "Aaron (Elite Four)" rather than "Elite Four Aaron". Japanese names
As for Dahlia and Cattleya, I'm leaving their names alone because they have no known official spellings. Quagbert 02:46, 13 February 2009 (UTC)

Individual Frontier Brain page names
Why are the pages for each individual Frontier Brain (as well as Subway Bosses and Battle Chatelaines) named with the Trainer classes included before their names? This isn't done for other characters on the site (Gym Leaders, Elite Four, etc.), even the ones who have unique Trainer classes (Mystery Man Eusine, Galactic Boss Cyrus, Lorekeeper Zinnia, etc.) It's not very consistent with the rest of the site; not even for the sake of disambiguation, since we use "Aaron (Elite Four)" rather than "Elite Four Aaron". Hyper Turtwig (talk) 06:00, 3 August 2015 (UTC)
- It looks like it started with Spenser (redux) and Lucy, and then a while later the rest were "standardized" with those. As I've argued with "Brendan (game)", I don't think that people like Palmer who don't need disambiguation should have it forced. Especially if Bulbapedia is happy with "non-standardized" groups like the Elite Four's Aaron (Elite Four) and Agatha (or almost any other Elite Four member). Tiddlywinks (talk) 06:43, 3 August 2015 (UTC)
- Given that Anabel now appears without the "Salon Maiden" title in SM, it may be prudent to remove the titles from the Frontier Brains' names now. UB00 (talk) 02:47, 31 December 2016 (UTC)
