Locking the DB
I don't negotiate with vandals; I'm not locking the DB simply because someone thinks they're being funny. -- <span style="color:#000099">evkl</span> <span style="color:#006699">(need to talk?)</span> 19:10, 19 May 2009 (UTC)
:Do keep in mind that we're dealing with Grawp here.  Grawp is a very notorious wiki vandal who's not afraid to sockpuppet over and over again doing the exact same thing or a variation of such, even to the extent of hundreds, maybe even thousands, of sockpuppets over on Wikipedia.  Sure, if we can solve this problem without locking the database, then we should do so; this I agree with you upon.  However, the problem may get so bad that locking the database may be the only option we've got; it got that bad with JohnnyRebel, it may get that bad again.  --Shiningpikablu252 19:21, 19 May 2009 (UTC)
::This reminds me of how people treat terrorists--like they're some kind of evil supervillain who cannot be stopped unless we use extraordinary methods.  HUNDREDS!?! THOUSANDS?! I don't want to feed this guy's ego.  He's a lonely teenager (or, worse, maybe an adult) in a basement somewhere, and he's sad.  And that's okay.  He also gets off vandalizing wikis.  Luckily, I don't really care if he feels cool by doing this.  I'll just block his users and revert his edits.  And sleep.  But, you know.  Important things come first.  Anyway, he's just like any other vandal.  Except not as cool. -- <span style="color:#000099">evkl</span> <span style="color:#006699">(need to talk?)</span> 19:23, 19 May 2009 (UTC)
All these new users...
...is really getting frustrating. Thanks so much for working so diligently to block them and protect their talk pages. It's really hard because I look through Special:RecentChanges virtually every second, but with all the new accounts, blocks, and protections, it's hard to find any real content in that page. Do you know if there is any way to look through Special:RecentChanges and remove all the "logs"? <font color="darkred">Kevin Y</font> (<font color="#083c6b">talk</font>) 14:53, 22 May 2009 (UTC)
:"Hide patrolled edits" hides the logs, but that also hides sysop edits due to the automatic patrol system.
:Another option is to view edits by namespace.  Namespaces can be selected from the drop-down.  When viewing edits only from a certain namespace, the logs don't appear.  Note that using the "invert selection" checkbox hides the chosen namespace instead of showing it, and that checkbox doesn't hide the logs.  --Shiningpikablu252 14:58, 22 May 2009 (UTC)
::I don't see a "Hide patrolled edits" option. It possibly is a sysop-only option, but I can work around that by just looking at the main namespace edits strictly. Thanks for your help!! :::::::The thing I think we need to try to find out is the motivation for him doing this. Obviously, he's doing this mostly just to annoy all of us (I'd say it's working quite nicely), so it has to be somebody who either was really disliked and got a permanent ban, or somebody who just hates Pokémon.
:::::::Disabling registration, as Clarky13 said, is probably gonna be more of a detriment to the growth of the website. == Celebi Glitch ==
Name for me ONE reliable source that says that the Celebi Glitch is false!  ONE!  JUST ONE!  And don't even say "Serebii.net" or "Nintendo".  Serebii is notorious for hating and not condoning glitches, so of course he's not gonna look too in-depth into a glitch that's almost impossible to activate.  As for Nintendo, of course they'd say it's false!  Otherwise they'd have everyone looking for Celebi in Ruby and Sapphire as opposed to waiting for their events!  So, having excluded those, name me ONE SINGLE STINKING RELIABLE SOURCE.  And of course, I'll find a way to discredit that as well.  You can't prove the glitch to be false when the evidence that it's real IS SITTING IN MY PC!  Missingno. Master says: The Celebi Glitch is real!<small>(talk page)</small> 18:33, 14 June 2009 (UTC)
:Granted, Nintendo would deny it.
:But trust me, if the glitch you're talking about were real, serebii.net would not have put up a whole section detailing how it's fake.  Either that or someone would have written a FAQ for GameFAQs before serebii.net wrote their game mechanics section on Celebi (which, in turn, might not have debunked the alleged "glitch").  The glitch you're talking about is nothing but a false rumor that came about as a result of the Mew glitch being proven real.  It's never been real.  It will never be real.
:Please, you don't want to turn into another Darkrai breeder.  And I don't want you to, either.  But if you're continuing to insist a proven-fake glitch is real, you'll probably end up like Darkrai breeder in his fruitless quest to try to get people to believe 's existience without reliable proof.  --Shiningpikablu252 03:54, 15 June 2009 (UTC)
"Shipping:Ikari Shipping" as a redirect
No, trust me. I just did a search of "Ikari Shipping" on our search engine, and when you click the "Shipping" option in the advance search feature, guess which article comes up? Not the "Shipping:Ikari Shipping" redirect, but the "Shipping:IkariShipping" article itself.
Not to mention, no one is going to ever search "Shipping:Ikari Shipping" if it's their first time here, and once they do find the article, they'll know we do it with no space between "name" and "Shipping", so those redirects are purposeless and dead weight. Delete tag, pls. Luna Tiger * the Arc Toraph 12:45, 15 June 2009 (UTC)
:Ooo, not to mention, searching "Luck Shipping" the same way doesn't bring up the LuckShipping article, or the "Shipping:" redirect. Luna Tiger * the Arc Toraph 12:53, 15 June 2009 (UTC)
::Redirects do not show up in the search by default.  To allow redirects to show up in the search, you'll have to have the "List redirects" option checked.  --Shiningpikablu252 15:25, 15 June 2009 (UTC)
:::At the same time, who is going to click "redirect"? No one is going to type up a 'ship to search for and think to include redirect. It's not one would suspect they need to click. Either delete it altogether, or nix the Shipping: part and then make one for each individual 'ship name...what a chore, what a bother, what's the purpose? == Joke? ==
Hey pikablu, I was looking at a couple of pages and realized that all the images link to a non-existant Rick Astley page. Is this some sort of a joke or something? Here are all the pages that link to it (http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Special:WhatLinksHere/Rick_Astley_(Pok%C3%A9mon)) I think one of the templates must make the images link to that page.... -MasterKenobi 15:52, 17 June 2009 (UTC)

::Well, just for the record, it's Template:MS, and it's TTEchidna idea of a joke.  There's a project going on to link the MS sprites to the Pokémon depicted on them, and the chosen default was "Rick Astley".  If you want to help relink the MS templates, try looking here and here (the latter link is a result of an older, odder style where the first 400 MS images were in GIF but 401-493 were in PNG)  --Shiningpikablu252 15:59, 17 June 2009 (UTC)

I totally agree with you that lookout station should be moved to guardhouse and I quote from the Pokémon world in relation to the real world,"In Gold, Silver, and Crystal, Randy, the guard in the guardhouse north of Goldenrod City, will give the player a Spearow holding mail to deliver. Talk pages for Robot Chicken skit guides: Pokémon Bloopers Pikachu Secret

The goal of Encyclopaediae Pokémonis is to be just as international as Pokémon itself, and helping aspiring Pokémon wikis in languages we don't yet have is a great way to help achieve that goal. However, if we don't even know who the possible aspirers for Encyclopaediae Pokémonis's ninth language even are, there's no way any growth can take place. If you speak or understand a language that's currently not represented in Encyclopaediae Pokémonis and happen to find a wiki in that language with aspirations to join Encyclopaediae Pokémonis, then don't hesitate to drop me a line. Remember, an aspirier can't grow if they remain sheltered from the world!

If you understand Brazilian Portuguese, or know someone who does, then the Portuguese arm of Encyclopaediae Pokémonis is in desperate need of your assistance. Many, if not all, of that wiki's articles are in dire need of improvement, be it massive cleanup or even adding some real content to begin with. Their sysops are never around to handle things, and their interwiki bot has done nothing since late September--of 2008. The fact that a trusted member of Encyclopaediae Pokémonis has fallen into such disrepair is disturbing, to say the least. Brazilians do not deserve quality this low. If you can help improve the Portuguese end, then I highly recommend you do so. Today.

I know that was the wrong way to move a page but the move failed since there already existed a page named "Barry". Is there any way to move a page despite that? J-J-M 16:31, 11 April 2009 (UTC)

Yeah. Whenever a page needs moved that can't be done directly by a normal user, such as the case of what needed to be done this morning, ask a sysop. Sysops can do whatever it takes to make the move successfully.
Don't worry about Barry, though. The steps necessary in his case have already been done. --Shiningpikablu252 16:40, 11 April 2009 (UTC)

Funny you should mention Elvis, since there was someone who used the handle "Elvis Presley" blocked under the circumstances of impersonating a celebrity. As far as I can tell, impersonating historical figures is along those same lines.
In any event, the option for the user to create a real username was left open. That's standard procedure for one blocked for unacceptable username not known to commit vandalism or show intent to. --Shiningpikablu252 16:19, 15 April 2009 (UTC)

Gen I games with color

You know how originally the main ones before Yellow were black and white? The Game Boy Color gave them color, kinda made them look like Yellow. I can play Pokémon games on my computer with an emulator called visual boy advance. I saw that some videos of Red or Blue are obviously on the vba emulator... and some are in black and white and some look like how the Game Boy Color made them. I tried everything to make my Red Version in color when I got it but it remained black and white... so I wondered how those people got color on those Red and Blue versions they played on the vba emulator... so that's it, to make it clear 'cause your answer wasn't really what I was looking for... here: "When playing Red Version on the vba, how do you get color?" If you know the answer, please help.--X, PEACE TOTHE DRAGONS ANDTHE BEASTS 21:05, 19 April 2009 (UTC)

You don't. VBA emulates a normal Game Boy when playing RB, which gives the games no color. Yellow has a color variance depending on where you are, being lavender in Lavender Town, red on Cinnabar Island... and so on. But not Red and Blue. TTEchidna 21:25, 19 April 2009 (UTC)
But come on... For sure this is vba... How did he get color? I'm sorry this guy swear so much... I've seen quite a few others...--X, PEACE TOTHE DRAGONS ANDTHE BEASTS 21:35, 19 April 2009 (UTC)
Last I checked, VirtualBoyAdvance was able to emulate Super Game Boy features. Try Options→Gameboy→SGB. --Shiningpikablu252 22:42, 19 April 2009 (UTC)

Main Page

I have no idea who to talk to about this so I chose you because you're obviously a sysop (that protect you just did). So, could we try to do the FireRed and LeafGreen chapters in special for the "currently needed article" part?--Pokemonguy1 Pikachu! Do you think that this page is good (please answer on its talk page)? 02:40, 23 April 2009 (UTC)

We've done PS275 in that capacity recently. Having the FR/LG chapter available in the manga pool for "currently needed article" isn't a bad idea by any stretch of the imagination. Just don't overbug the experts and you should be fine. --Shiningpikablu252 02:44, 23 April 2009 (UTC)
We've typically just been putting the highest PS chapter from the wanted pages whenever we need one. But, the article does not need to be on the main page for you to make it. Feel free to take a look at which ones need to be made from the wanted pages or the volume pages, and make them. But, also, Coolpikachu has high standards, if you don't make them to his standards, he doesn't want you doing them. Furthermore, if you are just trying to get other people to make them so that you have more information to add to your Agatha's Gengar article, don't bother. We already said it isn't notable, and no manga information will save it now. MaverickNate 03:05, 23 April 2009 (UTC)

Locking the DB

I don't negotiate with vandals; I'm not locking the DB simply because someone thinks they're being funny. -- evkl (need to talk?) 19:10, 19 May 2009 (UTC)

Do keep in mind that we're dealing with Grawp here.
This reminds me of how people treat terrorists--like they're some kind of evil supervillain who cannot be stopped unless we use extraordinary methods. HUNDREDS!?! -- evkl (need to talk?) 19:23, 19 May 2009 (UTC)

Kevin Y (talk) 14:53, 22 May 2009 (UTC)

"Hide patrolled edits" hides the logs, but that also hides sysop edits due to the automatic patrol system.
Another option is to view edits by namespace.
I don't see a "Hide patrolled edits" option. It possibly is a sysop-only option, but I can work around that by just looking at the main namespace edits strictly. Thanks for your help!! Kevin Y (talk) 15:02, 22 May 2009 (UTC)

Pikablu, telling him to stop creating new accounts isn't gonna work. He knows what he's doing. I suspect it's Grawp, the world's numbah one asshole. Just keep checkusering and blocking until we figure out a way to deal with it. --ニョロトノ666 23:15, 22 May 2009 (UTC)

If I may pitch a suggestion? I suggest we lock the database for a couple of hours. --AT 23:17, 22 May 2009 (UTC)
At the rate we're going, this flood's going to end up keeping on until we get to the scheduled maintenance--and even beyond it if we're unlucky. I think the best solution to stop this account flood is to disable the registration until the end of the maintenance. Perhaps the flooder'll give up out of frustration...--Shiningpikablu252 23:19, 22 May 2009 (UTC)
Perfect. I support that idea 100%. --AT 23:22, 22 May 2009 (UTC)
I don't, as I stated on the forums. It would halt the population growth of our wiki, and essentially show whoever this is that he got into our heads. --ニョロトノ666 23:23, 22 May 2009 (UTC)
I will only be for a couple of hours.--Clarky13 23:24, 22 May 2009 (UTC)
Well, we can't just shake this guy off like he's nothing. He's flooding the RC and severely clogging the server. --AT 23:27, 22 May 2009 (UTC)
Wow, crap, your right. This has been going on for hours.--Clarky13 23:30, 22 May 2009 (UTC)
Look at what evkl said above. --ニョロトノ666 23:31, 22 May 2009 (UTC)
The thing I think we need to try to find out is the motivation for him doing this. Obviously, he's doing this mostly just to annoy all of us (I'd say it's working quite nicely), so it has to be somebody who either was really disliked and got a permanent ban, or somebody who just hates Pokémon.
Disabling registration, as Clarky13 said, is probably gonna be more of a detriment to the growth of the website. Granted, it would stop this user from causing all this disruption, but then any other new good-faith users wouldn't be able to create accounts for a while. But I don't think the idea should be thrown out the window. I don't know, since he's only creating new accounts; he's not actually editing any of them. Kevin Y (talk) 23:31, 22 May 2009 (UTC)
Poli, what do you suggest we do? --AT 23:33, 22 May 2009 (UTC)
Also, should we delete/protect talk page and talk page, the last two creations that were given welcome messages? Or is it not worth it? Kevin Y (talk) 23:35, 22 May 2009 (UTC)
What would possess someone to create so many accounts. *sad teenager* Anyway if you need any help, me, AT and KY are here for anything.--Clarky13 23:36, 22 May 2009 (UTC)
K...just chill, is there a way to temporarily prevent account creation?--Tavisource 23:38, 22 May 2009 (UTC)
Yes, but as PT666 said, it halts the growth of the wiki and stops good-hearted n00bs from creating accounts. --AT 23:42, 22 May 2009 (UTC)
It may stop good users to create their account, but we don't have another option do we?--ForceFire 23:45, 22 May 2009 (UTC)
Not the n00bs... This problem isn't going to stop itself. We have to do something about this.--Clarky13 23:46, 22 May 2009 (UTC)
This was done with JohnnyRebel. Account creation was disabled for about a week after his initial vandalism spree. My : If the flooder hasn't given up by now, we lower the boom next time the flooding continues. Remember, the flooder's style is two random five-character chunks in "XxxxxXxxxx" style, where each X is usually represented either by a letter or a 4. --Shiningpikablu252 23:48, 22 May 2009 (UTC)
Has anyone considered the possibility that this is the work of a bot? --ニョロトノ666 23:51, 22 May 2009 (UTC)
I was just about to say that, but I got edit conflicts. This first started yesterday, and I was welcoming all these new users. After about eight or so, I thought that there was something really suspicious about it. All these new accounts are being created so rapidly, and the user names are so completely random, so is it possible that this isn't even a human doing this? Kevin Y (talk) 23:51, 22 May 2009 (UTC)
That's right you were... this could possible be the work of a bot; the repetitive style, anyway, no one could spend this long creating accounts.--Clarky13 23:54, 22 May 2009 (UTC)
I can't think of any sane human (or insane, for that matter) who would actually spend this much time for something as stupid and insignificant as creating a bunch of new user accounts that he's not going to use. Kevin Y (talk) 23:56, 22 May 2009 (UTC)
Well, if it is the bot, then what do we do about it. It may be a possible chance someone hacked the bot and made it do all this, but we don't know that.--ForceFire 23:58, 22 May 2009 (UTC)
Then odds are disabling registration is perhaps our best option if this flooding starts up again. If this really is the work of an unauthorized bot, odds are its controller might give up out of frustration if registration is disabled for an extended period (i.e. a week, like the JohnnyRebel incident). --Shiningpikablu252 23:59, 22 May 2009 (UTC)
Do bots have IP addresses as well? If so, then if we were able to find out the IP that started this all, then maybe we could work from there. But I'm not sure it's even possible to determine if it is a bot, let alone where the bot is. Kevin Y (talk) 00:00, 23 May 2009 (UTC)
Work of a bot? Plausible theory. Someone hacked the bot? Also plausible. What bot would spend all their time creating accounts? Moreover, accounts that insult sysops? You know what I'm talking about pikablu... (and so do you... and you... and you...) --AT 00:02, 23 May 2009 (UTC)
The Great Bulbapedia Turkey Shoot II... Is there any way to block bots?--Clarky13 00:04, 23 May 2009 (UTC)
Most likely. --AT 00:05, 23 May 2009 (UTC)
Unfortunately, there's multiple IPs involved. Trust me, if there was only one IP involved, odds are the flooding would have stopped (at least for a day, the length of an autoblock) when one of these sockpuppets was blocked without the autoblock disabled. Even if a bot is involved, control could be moved between computers in a place such as a school or library to utilize all of the IPs in that particular location. --Shiningpikablu252 00:06, 23 May 2009 (UTC)
Is there no end to this situation?--Clarky13 00:08, 23 May 2009 (UTC)
So it appears as if this "person" can get around every single method we have of stopping it except for disabling account creation, but for us that's a last-resort method. I think it might come down to us having to do that, but only if the flooding starts at an alarming rate again. Kevin Y (talk) 00:09, 23 May 2009 (UTC)
If this continues, then what can we do? This is shaping up to be worse than the JR fiasco... AT 00:13, 23 May 2009 (UTC)
The flow is slowing down a bit, we should wait and see what happens in the next couple of minutes.--ForceFire 00:15, 23 May 2009 (UTC)
Its usually goes on and off.--Clarky13 00:16, 23 May 2009 (UTC)
Well, if we had already disabled account creation in the past (well before I joined the website, so I don't know what went down), then I suppose there's nothing really stopping us from doing it again. The only other thing I can think of is to just leave it alone. As I've said, none of these new users are making any contributions. The only thing it's doing (aside from pissing us off) is its clogging up the server with the new accounts, but these users aren't vandalizing or anything. Maybe if we don't react to anything, he'll just up and leave. Kevin Y (talk) 00:17, 23 May 2009 (UTC)
KY, we can't just sit on our @$$es while this guy destroys the server. Action must be taken. And I say, people are probably just creating accounts to view the site w/o those ads that piss everyone off. So I say, lock the account creation. --AT 00:20, 23 May 2009 (UTC)
What Alpha said... and clogging up the RC is quite annoying. Sock puppeting are banned.--Clarky13 00:21, 23 May 2009 (UTC)
Guys, chill. We are discussing it privitely, so there isn't really any need to comment. Thanks, though.--RexRacer 00:50, 23 May 2009 (UTC)

What style

what style calls for Sketch to have the same info repeated? Yami 14:48, 29 May 2009 (UTC)

It's not just for Sketch or Transform; it's generally for all moves. It is necessary for them to be listed separately. Kevzo8 14:53, 29 May 2009 (UTC)
It's done that way on every single move article from the first three generations without exception. It's a basic style for move articles. If you want to argue your point, bring it up with TTEchidna, though I highly doubt you'd get anywhere. --Shiningpikablu252 14:54, 29 May 2009 (UTC)
I never said it was just for one move, i was just asking what style was being talked about. I'll ask TTEchidna about it. Yami 14:59, 29 May 2009 (UTC)

PokéWalk

Serebii (http://www.serebii.net/index2.shtml) just added that the PokéWalk that was revealed on today's Pokémon Sunday episode. Should we make a page or hold off? and if we decide to make a page should we lock it so no user speculation gets in as it is pretty much HeartGold and SoulSilver stuff. -MasterKenobi 04:01, 7 June 2009 (UTC)

I'd say sandbox it for now. If you can prove there's enough information, then we can make it ASAP. If it can be judged there's not enough information, we should probably wait until there is. --Shiningpikablu252 04:04, 7 June 2009 (UTC)
Sandbox does that look like enough information? Additionally there is a picture for it that needs to be uploaded and I can't get into the archives. -MasterKenobi 04:21, 7 June 2009 (UTC)
I'd probably go for a second opinion. In that state, it looks more like a section for the HG/SS article as opposed to something for an article of its own...--Shiningpikablu252 04:23, 7 June 2009 (UTC)

Celebi Glitch

Missingno. Master says: The Celebi Glitch is real!(talk page) 18:33, 14 June 2009 (UTC)

Granted, Nintendo would deny it.
But trust me, if the glitch you're talking about were real, serebii.net would not have put up a whole section detailing how it's fake.
Please, you don't want to turn into another Darkrai breeder. And I don't want you to, either. But if you're continuing to insist a proven-fake glitch is real, you'll probably end up like Darkrai breeder in his fruitless quest to try to get people to believe Glatra's existience without reliable proof.

Ooo, not to mention, searching "Luck Shipping" the same way doesn't bring up the LuckShipping article, or the "Shipping:" redirect. Luna Tiger * the Arc Toraph 12:53, 15 June 2009 (UTC)
Redirects do not show up in the search by default. To allow redirects to show up in the search, you'll have to have the "List redirects" option checked. --Shiningpikablu252 15:25, 15 June 2009 (UTC)
At the same time, who is going to click "redirect"? No one is going to type up a 'ship to search for and think to include redirect. It's not one would suspect they need to click. Either delete it altogether, or nix the Shipping: part and then make one for each individual 'ship name...what a chore, what a bother, what's the purpose? Luna Tiger * the Arc Toraph 20:16, 15 June 2009 (UTC)

Joke?

Hey pikablu, I was looking at a couple of pages and realized that all the images link to a non-existant Rick Astley page. Is this some sort of a joke or something? Here are all the pages that link to it (http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Special:WhatLinksHere/Rick_Astley_(Pok%C3%A9mon)) I think one of the templates must make the images link to that page.... -MasterKenobi 15:52, 17 June 2009 (UTC)

Nevermind, I found this quote from Kogoro,"Because it lets us know what pages are missing their fixed links, using "Special:WhatLinksHere". I like how every answer turns up after I ask the question... -MasterKenobi 15:55, 17 June 2009 (UTC)
Well, just for the record, it's Template:MS, and it's the EoC's idea of a joke.

Umm...

Please use instead of TPCD. Thanks! ht14 20:17, 17 June 2009 (UTC)

Actually, I just forgot, that's all. I was actually trying to rectify my mistake when I got an edit conflict. --Shiningpikablu252 20:19, 17 June 2009 (UTC)

Movie Characters

Hi, could you possibly add Arceus to the Movie Characters template? or do you just want to do all the characters for the 12th movie at once? -MasterKenobi 18:16, 18 June 2009 (UTC)

We'll probably be handling all of the movie characters around the time the movie comes out. Besides, if the Arceus article is protected from being created, there wouldn't be much reason to add it yet...--Shiningpikablu252 18:19, 18 June 2009 (UTC)
Yep, I just read that on the movie's talk page. The movie came out today by the way. Are we just going to wait for the English dub then? -MasterKenobi 18:20, 18 June 2009 (UTC)
No, the movie won't come out for another month. Today is June 18. The movie comes out July 18. --Shiningpikablu252 18:22, 18 June 2009 (UTC)
I could have swore it said June 18 the other day. Sorry for bothering you. –MasterKenobi 18:25, 18 June 2009 (UTC)

Mars's Purugly

Can that link simply be made a redirect, like Paul's Lairon? Just a thought. Thanks! --rockersk08 23:15, 24 June 2009 (UTC)

It could work like that, but it would take a consensus. We don't want someone creating a redirect just for another to delete it because they don't give a rat's ass about the subject.
Of course, there are some people who put their feelings ahead of consensus, especially concerning trivial subjects...--Shiningpikablu252 03:15, 25 June 2009 (UTC)
Understood. Just let me know if any motion occurs. As for the side note, I'll need to dig a little more to find out. Thanks! --rockersk08 22:31, 25 June 2009 (UTC)

OK. Asking because the User Age template on my page needs to be updated and changed to 13. I will be damned busy fixing those synopses, so I don't have the time... --αワニノコ 16:33, 2 July 2009 (UTC)

Lookout Station

I totally agree with you that lookout station should be moved to guardhouse and I quote from the Pokémon world in relation to the real world,"In Gold, Silver, and Crystal, Randy, the guard in the guardhouse north of Goldenrod City, will give the player a Spearow holding mail to deliver. The Spearow is nicknamed Kenya, the name of a country in Africa." That pretty much proves the point. -MasterKenobi 16:05, 3 July 2009 (UTC)

Although I wholeheartedly agree with you, I'd really like to see a consensus before a move takes place. --Shiningpikablu252 16:06, 3 July 2009 (UTC)
Out of curiosity where would this consensus take place? –MasterKenobi 16:08, 3 July 2009 (UTC)
