What Gives?
I had a Meowth that used Fake Out on Dustox in Pearl, but Dustox didn't flinch. Why do you think that this happened? - unsigned comment from Nidolord500 (talk • contribs)

Dustox's ability prevents any added effects from attack moves. Flinching is an added affect, so Dustox's ability negated it. - unsigned comment from Editor Sam (talk • contribs)

As of Generation V, Fake Out has the highest priority of any damage-inflicting move; it can even strike before Protect or Detect, if the user is faster than their opponent. --Stratelier 02:17, 13 May 2011 (UTC)
