:::Um, if you're doing it that way why does "season 2" start with EP082 which still uses the original OP? This really isn't any different to another division where saga and Japanese OP change ≠ "season" change, except it's one episode this time instead of 13. I mean come ON, if you're going to use a system that goes against an official source at least be consistent about it. Or you could, you know, use the actual seasons, keep EP054-EP057 in the right places — adding an asterisk note that indicates they aired as part of season 1 — and make this a factual encyclopaedia page instead of just a fans' list of episodes riddled with inaccuracies. -- Thingamajig257 00:32, 10 April 2010

Revision as of 00:55, 10 April 2010

How come the original series episode list is "tweaked"? Pallet Party Panic should be Episode 83 but is listed as 81. Snow Way Out and Holiday Hi-Jynx are counted as episodes.

----HoennMaster 17:44, 10 August 2008 (UTC)

I dunno. It'd really mess up all the numbering we have right now... I really personally wonder why HHJ and SWO aren't counted... they were in the original schedule, they just didn't air them when Pokémon came back because they were meant to be aired as some sort of Christmas special, and that's kinda dumb to do in the middle of April. TTEchidna 18:47, 10 August 2008 (UTC)
I always thought they were only considered specials and not episodes. I seem to remember years ago several sites not counting them as episodes. And you're right, it would really mess up everything if we moved all of them. --PAK Man Talk 19:02, 10 August 2008 (UTC)
This is discussed in the manual of style. The original reason was so that the numbering lines up with Pokeani, however, things have gotten a little complicated since AG101. - 振霖T 02:46, 11 August 2008 (UTC)

I really don't think that is a good reason because the fact is that they are still regular episodes and should be noted that way. If they weren't real episodes then why would they be on the boxsets?

----HoennMaster 05:30, 11 August 2008 (UTC)

The numbering is based on Japanese broadcasting, so whether or not they are included in American boxsets has no bearing on it. - 振霖T 09:36, 11 August 2008 (UTC)

Can we include a translation of the Japanese titles?

I find it silly that we have the English title, the kanji for the Japanese title, but no translation of the Japanese. Is there a way to include both the Kanji and translation of the Japanese episode titles? I would be appreciative and be willing to help if there is someway to get them done quickly (like a team effort or some sort of code). Thanks for any answers. Ditto for this, see my answer at the AG episode list talk page. UltimateSephiroth (user · talk · contrib) 17:50, 14 November 2008 (UTC)

i was just about to suggest this. For each episode theres a translation into most launguages. But ironiclly not japanese romaji. How come? And a question why is fushigane in katakana i think it means mystery as in the episode bulbasaurs garden?--Solid! 08:11, 29 August 2009 (UTC)

A note on season boundries

While title changes usually happen at the start of a season, the start of new regions took more importance for the decision of when the change happens. (Thus, the uneven lengths of the Johto sections.) I don't know where the split between season 1 and season 2 lies but I do know the rest from how the Johto episodes are batched:

 • Season 3: The Pokémon Water War -> The Fortune Hunters (The end of Orange + Johto Journeys)
 • Season 4: A Goldenrod Opportunity -> Machoke, Machoke Man (Johto League Champions)
 • Season 5: Around the Whirlpool -> You're a Star, Larvitar! (Most of Master Quest)
 • Season 6: Address Unown -> Watt's with Wattson (The end of Master Quest + Advance)

So keep that in mind with the new template. --FabuVinny |Talk Page| 00:14, 7 March 2009 (UTC)

The boundary between seasons 1 and 2 is a tricky case. EP052 and EP053 are the first two episodes of season 2, but the four episodes afterward are the last four episodes of season 1. This is due to dub reordering, probably so Todd's original three-episode arc wasn't split between seasons. As a result, the dub season 1's final five episodes are 51-54-55-56-57 and season 2's first three episodes are 52-53-58.
Keep in mind that the two episodes the dub reordered to the start of season 2 (52 and 53) were reordered into their place in the Japanese order in the aftermath of the EP038 incident. --Shiningpikablu252 00:55, 7 March 2009 (UTC)

Hey, I uploaded file:EP039.png So it will appear on this list but it's not showing up. Is there somethine else I have to do for it to show here? - Flex S 11:43, 28 April 2009 (UTC)

Umm, I can see it, it's there. Maybe you need to refresh the page.. Kevzo8 11:43, 28 April 2009 (UTC)
Refresh the page.--FF(editstalk) 11:47, 28 April 2009 (UTC)
Ahh, It's there now. I will work on uploading all original screenshots, for this article and others. If that is OK. - Flex S 11:50, 28 April 2009 (UTC)
GREAT! Check my User page for a list of episode headers that needs to be uploaded!.--FF(editstalk) 11:52, 28 April 2009 (UTC)

It may just be my computer,

But why aren't some of the Images showing up, And I'm not dumb, Like EP029 (The Punchy Pokémon), It shows the episode name, but not the image. AND ITS BEEN UPLOADED, plus, it seems fine on Opera but not on Firfox, the rest are there however.--FF(editstalk) 11:46, 28 April 2009 (UTC)

It looks fine to me. The image are captioned as its name, so that when you hover the pointer on the image, the title will be shown. If the image fail load, it would just show the dub name. Sometimes it really happens. Kevzo8 11:51, 28 April 2009 (UTC)
Oh alright, I just have a fierce rivalry with my computer. thanks for clearing that up.--FF(editstalk) 11:54, 28 April 2009 (UTC)
I think I have the same thing, sometimes "Electric Shock Showdown" shows the name instead of the picture. Using Firefox. - Flex S 12:01, 28 April 2009 (UTC)
The list is like 50kb long, some browsers would really have problem loading the page. I'm also a Firefox 3 user.Kevzo8 12:04, 28 April 2009 (UTC)

Why it's protected!

Because there's no freakin' need to edit this page ever ever ever again. It's fine as it is. It's done, been over for six years. There's no need to change how any episodes are listed or anything. We don't need to put every little detail about the episode on there, either. No one cares if it was banned. Guess why? Because all of the episodes that didn't air ARE BANNED. Images Broken

Hey, could this possibly be unprotected for like 5 minutes so I could fix the broken images? I would just fix the links so it shows up as the image that is on the actual episode page as they just appear as numbers and it looks horrible. thanks. -MasterKenobi 00:08, 13 June 2009 (UTC)

It's the server, it's happening to me too, don't worry about it.--ForceFire 03:03, 13 June 2009 (UTC)

same here.I had to refresh the page 15 times to finally get all the pics.--Solid! 08:07, 29 August 2009 (UTC)

Another picture problem

I uploaded EP070, but it isn't showing up, and when I click on the image link, it says it hasn't been uploaded. When I try to re-upload it, it says an image (mine!) already exists. What am I doing wrong?? Jazzmoth 01:39, 19 June 2009 (UTC)

It's some sort of transferring problem. Your picture is there, Bulbapedia just isn't showing it. You may have to refresh the page or wait a while. --ケンジガール 01:42, 19 June 2009 (UTC)

Incorrect Dating

I've noticed, going through the list, that some episodes are listed out of order. EP225 for example is set before previous english episodes. Firemaker 00:04, 27 June 2009 (UTC)

That's 4Kids's fault. They aired the episodes out of order because they're morons. TTEchidna 00:49, 27 June 2009 (UTC)

Error

When I hover over Pippi on EP006 it says Cleffa, but Cleffa wasn't in the episode. It should be Clefairy. So can it be changed?Pokemon champ 03:57, 13 August 2009 (UTC)

Asking for a chance

Can someone with admin powers change "Canna" to "Kanna" and "Shiba" to "Siba" in this article? --Maxim 13:55, 16 December 2009 (UTC)
