Aside from the fangs, Raikou doesn't look much like a sabretooth tiger to me...--BJG
Well, it has tiger-stripes.--Pokencyclopedia 19:42, 6 July 2006 (UTC)
Where is the correct pronunciation stated? --FabuVinny T-C-S 18:39, 10 May 2007 (UTC)
- Unless someone has an official source stating that it's rai-ko and not rai-ku, I think that trivia should be removed. File:164sMS.pngShiny?! 21:58, 30 November 2007 (UTC)
Looks!
Well, he looks more like a cat to me. I'm pretty sure he does to everyone though. Thats not good though, since he IS one of the legendary dogs. I say everyone knew that too.
- Raikou is not one of the "Legendary Dogs". It's one of the Legendary Beasts. However, "Legendary Cats" is more correct than "Dogs"... Entei is a lion, Raikou is a tiger and Suicune is a cheetah. - Taylor 21:49, 24 May 2007 (UTC)
A bit off topic: Does the star shape on it's nose appear on the G/S frontsprites, or is it just hard to see?
Roar
Can you see Raikou again after it uses roar? Because it tells you where it's location is when you look it up on the Pokedex, but when I had it trapped, it used the move roar to escape and it doesn't show its location in the Pokedex and I haven't seen it at all. Can you see it again after it uses Roar?
- You can see it again if it uses Roar. It only disappears if it faints. This information fits into Roaming Pokémon more than here. --FabuVinny T-C-S 10:45, 1 September 2007 (UTC)
Sightings
I don't believe Ash has ever actually seen Raikou, or any part of it, for that matter. The only time I recall seeing Raikou was during Houndoom's Special Delivery, in which only Togepi and Houndoom saw Raikou's tail. Ash and company weren't present at this time. Xander 01:42, 16 July 2008 (UTC)
That's exactly what I thought as well when I read the trivia section. Only Togepi and Houndoom saw Raikou's tail. Not Ash. --いぬみみ 02:44, 27 July 2008 (UTC)
Name
Is there a way to protect the sections about Raikou's name? It seems a lot of people keep changing Raikou's name pronounciation to "Rai-kuu". I'm sure other members here are sick of having to change it back to "Rai-ko" all the time. --いぬみみ 03:31, 15 November 2008 (UTC)
A question
Is there any reason why this piece of trivia is necessary?
- In Pokémon Gold and Silver, Raikou is incorrectly depicted with short fangs, no cross, an orange cloud, and was missing its ears. This was fixed in Pokémon Crystal version.
I removed it, and then someone added it again. I thought we didn't want any trivia about sprites, so why is this an exception? I'm confused... Wolf 04:20, 29 April 2010 (UTC)
- Looking back through the trivia it seems to have been added and deleted a bunch of times. After a bit of searching the best mention of "policy" I could find was this comment Sketch posted last year:
- We are in the process of removing sprite trivia. There is no need to point out what can already be seen in the sprite section. -Sketch 11:22, 17 August 2009 (UTC)
- The trivia in question can easily be seen by looking at the sprite question, so I will remove it. Werdnae (talk) 04:40, 29 April 2010 (UTC)
