| To get Cresselia in Pokemon Diamond and Pearl, you first must get a ride from the sailor who takes you to Iron Island. Then, you get a ride back and go to his house (right in front of him). You should see a kid lying in bed. Go talk to his mother and she will tell you about him having nightmares. After you finish talking to her, go back to the sailor and talk to him. He will ask you to help him by getting a light feather. He'll then give you a ride to Full Moon Island. Go through the bushes on top and you'll see Cresselia sitting there. Press "a" facing it and it'll make its cry and run away. In its place there will be a pokeball item. It'll be the light feather. Go back to the house and press "a" on the kid in bed. He will seem to get better and wake up. The family will be happy and Cresselia will be roaming Sinnoh. You can find it the same way you found Mespirit, by using the tracking device.

Trivia
- When Cresselia is encountered, the music is the same as an ordinary Wild Pokémon. This is presumed to be to try and catch the player off guard.
- Cresselia can be seen as an opposite of Darkrai, as Darkrai causes nightmares, where Cresselia prevents them. Also, their islands are shaped and named opposite of each other.
Origin
Cresselia is based after a swan.
Name origin
Its name is derived from crescent, refering to a phase of the moon.
