Origin
Rampardos is based off of a Pachycephalosaurus.
Name origin
Rampard's name is a pun, combining the words "ram" (to slam into), "hard", and "rampart" (a type of fortress). Rampardos comes from the same etymology as the Japanese name, however, it adds on "dos", a common ending for dinosaur names.
