Blast Burn is a slightly inaccurate and very highly-damaging Fire-type move introduced in Generation III. It is one of the three elemental versions of Hyper Beam, the other two being Frenzy Plant and Hydro Cannon.

In FireRed and LeafGreen, an elderly woman will teach Charizard, Typhlosion, or Blaziken Blast Burn. Like Frenzy Plant and Hydro Cannon, you need a high Friendship with your starter to be able to learn this.
・Additionally, if you clear the Mt. Battle challenge in XD,you will decide between a Chikorita, a Cyndaquil, or a Totodile. If you choose Cyndaquil, it will come equipped with Blast Burn.
