With the release of each series in the Pokémon Trading Card Game comes a plethora of collectible merchandise, and the Black & White Series is no exception. In order to release special promotional cards, booster packs, and other merchandise, promotional items such as Collector's Tins and Value Boxes are distributed. The following is a list of the merchandise released during the BW era of the trading card game.
Sneak-Peek Tins
To start off the Black & White Series for the English trading card game is the release of the Sneak-Peek Tins. Released on March 9th, 2011, these tins introduce the first Generation V Pokémon to the TCG. Each tin features one of the three starters--Snivy, Tepig, and Oshawott--in the form of both a promotional card and a figure, as well as a preview pack of five other Generation V Pokémon. The three cards featured in the tin feature new artwork than when released in Japan in the Journey Partners collection. Each tin also contains four booster packs from the Platinum Series, HeartGold & SoulSilver Series, and Call of Legends.

Black & White Theme Decks
Theme Decks are an integral part of the trading card game, being released with just about every one of the main expansions. Furthering the release of the Generation V Pokémon, the three theme decks for the Black & White expansion feature the final evolutions for Unova's starter Pokémon: Serperior, Emboar, and Samurott. The Green Tornado, Red Frenzy, and Blue Assault theme decks were released on April 6th, 2011: roughly three weeks before the main expansion. These three theme decks each contain a code for the Pokémon Trading Card Game Online, allowing players to use these theme decks while battling in the game.
