Powder causes damage if the target uses a {{type|Fire}} move. This move is an increased priority move and deals damage regardless of type. When the opposing Pokémon chooses a Fire-type attack, not only do they take damage from the explosion, but their turn also ends without completing the selected move. Powder (Japanese: ふんじん Dust) is a non-damaging Bug-type move introduced in Generation VI. It is the signature move of Vivillon.

Effect

This move is an increased priority move. If a Pokémon affected by Powder attempts to use a Fire-type move, they take damage (regardless of type) equal to 25% of their maximum HP and cannot execute the move.
