Belch (Japanese: ゲップ Belch) is a damage-dealing Poison-type move introduced in Generation VI.
Effect
Belch deals damage. Belch cannot be selected unless the user has previously eaten a Berry in the current battle (whether its own, or another's via Bug Bite, Pluck or other Pokémon's Fling), but only if the user gains the effect from the Berry, if it has one (for example, eating a Payapa Berry via Bug Bite will not allow Belch to be used, since the user has not been attacked with a super-effective psychic move).
After eating a Berry, the player may use Belch for the rest of the battle, even if the Pokémon has been switched out and back in or the Berry is restored with Recycle, Harvest, or Pickup. Consuming a Berry through other means (such as Natural Gift, using Fling, or its Trainer giving it a Berry from the Bag) will not enable Belch to be used.
