Welcome to Bulbapedia, Blazingfist!
Bulbapedia bulb.png

By creating your account you are now able to edit pages, join discussions, and expand the community-driven Pokémon encyclopedia. Before you jump in, here are some ground rules:

  • Be nice to everyone. It's in the code of conduct.
  • Make good edits. Preview them before you save to make sure they're perfect the first time around.
  • Use wikicode and link templates when adding content to a page.
  • Use proper grammar and spelling, and read the manual of style.
  • You can't create a userpage until you've added to the encyclopedia. It's a privilege. See the userspace policy.
  • Use talk pages to resolve editing disputes. Don't "edit war," or constantly re-edit/undo the same thing on a page.
  • If you have a question about something, be proactive. Take a look at our FAQ. If you're still stuck, ask for help. The staff won't bite.
  • Sign all talk page posts with four tildes (~~~~). This will turn into your name and the time you wrote the comment.
  • For more handy links, see the welcome portal.
Thank you, and have a good time editing here!

The Preview Button

Instead of editing a page several times in a row, try using the preview button to make sure your edit looks the way you want it to. It's right next to the Save Changes button... Please try it out, so as not to clog up the Recent Changes. Thanks! --Jo the Marten ಠ_ಠ 10:16, 24 May 2012 (UTC)

You are absolutely right and most of the time I do use it, but sometimes I am just to hasty or in a rush. I need to take it easy sometimes lol. Sorry for that, I will be more careful from now on. ¡¡¡Blazingfist!!! 10:19, 24 May 2012 (UTC)

Team Plasma article

I understand your reasoning, but I think it clear enough that the episodes discussed are unaired. Take this sentence, for example, "Team Plasma were initially set to debut...but the episodes were postponed indefinitely...". The rest of the "Behind the scenes" section also clearly and explicitly states that the episodes are unaired. In addition, clicking those links takes you to the articles for the unaired episodes. I don't think there's any confusion over whether it's talking about the aired or unaired episodes. Pokegen master (talk) 14:53, 1 March 2013 (UTC)

Ah well, I see you haven't undone it yet. Do as you like, however. I thought it might be a bit confusing, but if you think it isn't, go ahead an change it. ☼ BlazingFist ☼ 15:27, 1 March 2013 (UTC)
Ok. I didn't want to start an edit war, so I just came here. Pokegen master (talk) 18:54, 1 March 2013 (UTC)

Vertress Conference

Where did you get six from? Also, the edit summary you put, I found it to be rude. PattyMan 19:40, 20 April 2013 (UTC)

Sorry, I wasn't trying to be rude, I hate being or coming off as rude, but it seemed kind of obvious to me. Especially if you checked here: http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/List_of_episodes#Black_.26_White:_Adventures_in_Unova (scroll down, starting from Curtain Up, Unova League!, then Mission: Defeat Your Rival!, Lost at the League!, Strong Strategy Steals the Show!, Cameron's Secret Weapon!, and lastly A Unova League Evolution!, six episodes in total, which does in fact make it the shortest league. BlazingFist ☼ 19:45, 20 April 2013 (UTC)
I must have counted Team Eevee and the Pokémon Rescue Squad! by mistake. Anyway, I got seven since someone else who made the edit back then mentioned that Lost at the League! didn't count as a league episode. At least you told me that you weren't being rude (how i respond to it). By the way, thank you for fixing those new pages that I created of the missing characters of the day. PattyMan 19:55, 20 April 2013 (UTC)
Don't worry about it, those are just small mistakes that happen. I'll try being more polite the next time something like this happens. And that thing with those characters, don't mention it. I like doing that kind of editing stuff, I like creating missing character/location pages myself too and it is nice to see you found some characters that still needed a page BlazingFist ☼ 19:59, 20 April 2013 (UTC)

Personality and characteristics

What was wroung my personalty and charactics on jessie frellish I did In 12years old I'm so confuse I watch this show in japAnses as well. I thought it was right and I wrought down on a paper about why did you take it off I'm not stupid I'm not that what i thought about her please tell me please I be you email catlovewillams@aol.com please unless can you fix it or can I send you my thing then you said you like i put it on Catlove (talk) 19:15, 6 May 2013 (UTC)catloveCatlove (talk) 19:15, 6 May 2013 (UTC)

It's nothing personal, or anything, it is because the grammar and spelling you used was very bad and almost unreadable. I perfectly understand English may not be your native language (guess what, English isn't my native language either) but remember, this IS an English encyclopedia, so at least basic level skills of the English language are wanted here. Also, you wrote some Pokémon names wrong. Try to improve your English a bit and read this: the Manual of Style, it contains useful information about writing things here at Bulbapedia. Hope this clears things up. BlazingFist ☼ 19:27, 6 May 2013 (UTC)

Who's That Pokemon? BW115 engdub

I just want to know is Watchog featured in english version of Who's That Pokemon BW115 o not? Pikachu65 13:25, 1 June 2013 (UTC)

I have no idea actually. I haven't seen the episode, I only know it aired because a review topic of the episode was opened on the forums. BlazingFist ☼ 13:27, 1 June 2013 (UTC)

Maybe it was Watchog after all. Oh well. Just wait until tomorrow. Pikachu65 13:31, 1 June 2013 (UTC)

And besides, Watchog has been scanned second time. In episode BW115. Pikachu65 11:48, 2 June 2013 (UTC)

Charizard

Hey I didnt say anything about the fact that they cant. The section I was pointed to said nothing but that. I was pointing it out. But if the dub says so then it is confirmed. I get saying it once or twice in an episode could be a mistake but if the official website states it, then it is confirmed. The Pokemon company here works close with the one in Japan, So I doubt that they would just make stuff up. All of the signs point to him as a male, he even looks male, unlike Charla, So I would say that it is in fact confirmed BlackDragon 00:21, 9 June 2013 (UTC)

I'm going to reply here, to keep it in one place. It seemed like you said they can't, as you didn't make it sound like a quote. But anyway, that's not important. If the characters in the dub say so, it is not confirmed, as the dub is just a derivation of the original Japanese series. The original Japanese series is ultimate canon, as the series is made in Japan. So, if they don't refer to Ash's Charizard as male in the original Japanese episodes (which they don't), but they do in the dub, then it's not canon. And where does the official website state it? Could you provide a source? Lastly, "he even looks male, unlike Charla" isn't confirmation, just an opinion. Someone else could see that differently. As it is a policy, written in big red letters on the talk page of the article, it is better to leave it alone. BlazingFist ☼ 00:27, 9 June 2013 (UTC)
There is the Purrloin incident when Meowth traveled with the group. PattyMan 00:33, 9 June 2013 (UTC)~
^ Which does indeed confirm that Pokémon of the same sex could fall in love which each other. For all we know Charizard is female. Now that would be a stunning revelation, if they decided to make that ultimate canon. But we don't know yet. BlazingFist ☼ 00:39, 9 June 2013 (UTC)

Still even if Japan is the ultimate cannon version, the American Pokemon company is just as reliable. Yeah the looking part is an opinion, I was just saying that. I mean Charla is a girl and looks like it. I dont see Ash putting Bows in Charizards hair, just saying. But honestly if the Dub says it it should be confirmed, as like I said, They work close together now. Sometimes you have to just take the clues and what the dub says and put it together. Every sign says he is just read them. But if I remember correctly the Meowth moment, he thought that Purrloin was a girl right? Which doesnt say much as he took it back. If that is the right moment. BlackDragon 03:21, 9 June 2013 (UTC)

There's a note next the "Unknown" stating that it is male in the dub (hover over the asterisk to see it). But that doesn't mean it is a male in the Japanese version.--ForceFire 04:35, 9 June 2013 (UTC)
Indeed, that note should be enough. It is referred to as male in the dub version, okay, but not in the original version. The Japanese language does not have gender pronouns. Which mean they can't refer to Charizard as male or female in the original version. Which means it could only be revealed by other means. Conclusion: we don't know if it is male or female in the original version right now, we do know it is male in the dub. The original version is the most important and should be noted first, and this is exactly how it is stated now in its infobox on its page. I don't see a problem. Watari Island

Is that the same as Migration Island as the Pocket Monsters summary states? http://www.pocketmonsters.net/episodes/1498#Comments AeroWind (talk) 12:42, 13 June 2013 (UTC)

Yes, that's supposed to be the one. I keep regular track of summaries of episodes, and I believe it was called Watari Island at first and later mostly referred to as Migration Island. BlazingFist ☼ 12:48, 13 June 2013 (UTC)
Oh alright good to know. Thanks. AeroWind (talk) 12:49, 13 June 2013 (UTC)

Concerning the trivia in BW119

It was the first time the first time the Genesect Army was shown in the anime, albeit only in a flashback, so I would think it would count as notable Trivia Weavile Warrior (talk) 23:47, 15 July 2013 (UTC)

Yes, but the main point you made was Genesect individually appearing for the second time in the anime. 1: The first time was a silhoutte, which is not counted as an appearance, 2: Something is not trivia worthy when its the second time, in this case Genesect appearing for the second time.
Which brings me to the trivia about the Genesect Army, I'm not sure about that actually. But I'd still keep it as unnotable, as the Genesect Army, with a link to the corresponding page, is already listed under "Debut" on the BW119 page, that should be enough. ☼ BlazingFist ☼ 23:52, 15 July 2013 (UTC)
Okay, I'll fix the page --Weavile Warrior (talk) 23:58, 15 July 2013 (UTC)

BW123

I contacted Crystal Talian about the title, she said to wait until either a title card of the episode on TV, a DVD title card, or the official site posted the title of the episode before changing it. Link to discussion. — Reshi643 04:14, 16 July 2013 (UTC)

Yes, I saw it just now, good you asked a staff member about this. While Cartoon Network is an official source when it comes to the Pokémon anime, they've also made terrible mistakes with dub names in the past, so they are not reliable for the full 100%. It think's it's indeed best the way it's done now. ☼ BlazingFist ☼ 11:47, 16 July 2013 (UTC)

Hi! Blazingfist, I tell you, I saw the title of the BW123 in www.cartoonnetwork.com in the program schedule last Sunday, and appeared well: Farewell, Unova! Setting Sail for New Adventures! . And if you now get to see the program schedule on Saturday will find the title as you point it out myself, nice talking to you! and no problem with writing in my page discussion :D bye! --1998gmo (talk) 18:55, 16 July 2013 (UTC)

Nice talking to you too :D Anyway, for now the page title has been changed back, I hope you understand, as it is not confirmed 100%. Also this schedule lists the title as just Farewell, Unova! (they misspell Unova as "Unvoa" though). Very weird, only time will tell what the real title is. But thanks for your input and research of course! ☼ BlazingFist ☼ 20:40, 16 July 2013 (UTC)

Harley's Cacturne

If Alexa's Helioptile and Gogoat don't count as Pokémon seen on Minori Island, what about Harley's Cacturne on Izabe Island since it made recurring appearances in other places? PattyMan 16:12, 4 August 2013 (UTC)

I don't know about that, that should probably be removed too then. I always figured the "Seen on" section was for Pokémon that seem native on the island or owned by CotDs on the island. Anyway, if Gogoat and Helioptile are counted, should Pikachu, Axew and others not be included too to the "Seen on" section then. Just doesn't make much sense if you ask me. ☼ BlazingFist ☼ 16:38, 4 August 2013 (UTC)
I usually count the debuts of the non-CotDs as Pokémon seen on the island. However, seeing your point, it would be best to remove them all. PattyMan 18:03, 4 August 2013 (UTC)

Userspace policy

Please note that the states Userpages are personal pages, and are not to be edited by other users unless prior permisson has been given. Instances in which this is permitted include, but are not limited to, broken links that appear on the wanted pages, duplicate images on the Archives, uncategorizing a userpage categorized in a category it should clearly not be in, reverting vandalism, etc. You violated that policy when you took it upon yourself to make this edit. You should have notified a staff member and let them take care of it, not try to correct them by removing the content yourself. Please keep this in mind during the future. Thank you. --Pokemaster97 02:28, 13 August 2013 (UTC)

Oh, I am very sorry. That was not my intention of course. I thought someone had forgotten to remove that, as that user didn't create that page, even admitted that him/herself. But I shouldn't have done that. Won't happen again. ☼ BlazingFist ☼ 09:51, 13 August 2013 (UTC)

Sorting in categories

Personally, I prefer to use {{DEFAULTSORT:Juniper, Cedric}} over putting the same text in each individual category. --SnorlaxMonster 17:00, 18 August 2013 (UTC)

And by that you mean? I'm sorry, a lot of anime character pages miss that Anime characters category, but if there's a better way than how I'm doing it right now, I'd like to hear it of course. ☼ BlazingFist ☼ 17:03, 18 August 2013 (UTC)
Sorry, I was a bit vague there. For example, rather than putting "Davis, Alex" in all the category links like this, I think it's a better idea to use DEFAULTSORT like this. --SnorlaxMonster 17:06, 18 August 2013 (UTC)
Ah ok, I get what you mean now. I did the former thing because that's how it was already on a lot of these pages, but I'll use the method you recommend then instead. ☼ BlazingFist ☼ 17:08, 18 August 2013 (UTC)

My Explanation

Hello, i'm PokeSerbia. I'm from the Serbia. I wanted that i'm not good at english lanaguage because i'm not native from the US/UK/Canada and i'm from serbia as my users suggest. I do wanted to improve my grammar, but i still had yet to do. I'm sorry for what i'm doing it for reason. I wanted to fix the plot but some of my bad grammar i'm you and others reverting because of my ignorance of Bulbapedia system.

For what i would, i wanted to add that the Panchau's species was originally Naughthy Pokemon but some users made share species and i wanted to add origin spescies was Naugthy Pokemon.

I'm very very very very very very sorry for my bad gramaar for i'm not native. - unsigned comment from PokeSerbia (talkcontribs)

Re: Uploading Pictures

In response to your message, as I explained before, I did in fact check the Archives for any answers I could find, but yet, none I found. Is there any other possible way to upload pictures? Whenever I do, it says:

"You do not have permission to create new pages."

Even though I actually do have permission to create pages, even though I don't want to create a page in this case in the first place, that's what I get whenever I want to add a picture :/ - unsigned comment from MatrVincent (talkcontribs)

It's probably because you're not Autoconfirmed. As it says in the Archives FAQ under "How do I upload?", you need to have made a certain amount of edits on already existing files. Getting to edit your userspace on Bulbapedia works the same way as you may have noticed you weren't able to create your own userpage right away. The exact number of edits to be made to become Autoconfirmed is actually a secret. As I'm not active on the Archives myself I suggest sending a message to an Archives admin asking what you can help with or what files you could edit.
Oh and it's important to sign your messages. This is done with typing four of these: ~ Happy editing! ☼ BlazingFist ☼ 03:08, 21 March 2014 (UTC)

Just an FYI in case you're not watching it. I've responded to your post here. Curious on your thoughts here. Discussion of Fennekin's Psyshock

Where is this discussion going on cuz I can't find it. And, really, what other move could it be besides "Psyshock"? No other move fits the description, and we can't just wait until Serena uses Fennekin in battle because god knows how long will it take..--Omojuzeforever (talk) 16:35, 27 March 2014 (UTC)

The discussion is not taking place here on Bulbapedia. I've talked it over with G50 who is a Senior Administrator and we've both come to the conclusion that it's wise to leave it unconfirmed for now. I'm sorry, but if we went by everything that isn't called out directly we would be making a lot of assumptions and Bulbapedia wouldn't be a very trustworthy place. Maybe the higher staff will still decide to consider it confirmed as being Psyshock, but if not, we'll just have to wait to a future instance where the move is directly commanded by Serena, unfortunately. ☼ BlazingFist ☼ 16:42, 27 March 2014 (UTC)
Ok, got it.. Fair enough, just saying that its pretty clear that the move was Psyshock, but I guess we can wait.--Omojuzeforever (talk) 16:51, 27 March 2014 (UTC)

Good News

Refer to the Meyer/Blaziken Mask discussion above.

We're good for a merge. Just chatted with User:Force Fire over on his talk page about it and he confirms we're clear now to go ahead and merge it. Before doing so, I wanted to see some of your opinions on going about the merge. I'm headed to bed right now and don't think I'd be able to do a complete job in my present state of mind, but I will be looking at it in the morning while I'm stationed at home for a while before I take off for the afternoon and already have some ideas for it.

If I don't see you respond by morning (which is fine, maybe you're in bed too), I'll go ahead and put my ideas into practice and you can still contribute after the fact. I merely wanted to ask your thoughts now, while I'm asleep, before going ahead, and would take that into consideration. =) CycloneGU (talk) 05:16, 28 March 2014 (UTC)

Siebold's Mega Blastoise's Ability

Officer Jenny and Nurse Joy

I've been reconstructing Officer Jenny's and Nurse Joy's pages a bit. Could you assist me on completing them as you can do one arc and I could do the other? PattyMan 03:57, 30 May 2014 (UTC)

Sure, I'll see what I can do. ☼ BlazingFist ☼ 09:37, 30 May 2014 (UTC)

Movie characters category

Hey Blazingfist, I just added the Anime characters category into the {{moviecharacters}} template, so there will be no need to add said category to each individual page. The only issue one might have with this is if we don't consider the movie Pokémon to be under that category; if that's the case, you could revert my edit. Just thought I'd let you know. ht14 15:58, 12 June 2014 (UTC)

Thanks for bringing this up, I had no idea to be honest. But I'm checking some pages I haven't done yet and the anime characters category doesn't show up with some. Maybe it takes some time but I'll check later if any pages still need it. ☼ BlazingFist ☼ 16:00, 12 June 2014 (UTC)
Haha, I just put it up once I noticed what you're doing, specifically with the movie characters, so you're right, it will take some time. Just remove the category for the movie characters; sorry for having to make you edit those pages again ^^; As a side note, the default cat thing you removed... it's so weird that it's there in the first place... ht14 16:03, 12 June 2014 (UTC)
I see. Dang, now I'll have to undo everything >.< I'll get to that later. ☼ BlazingFist ☼ 16:05, 12 June 2014 (UTC)
I mean, I could do it instead if you'd like; it's just that I don't want to interrupt your flow, that's all. ht14 16:07, 12 June 2014 (UTC)
If you don't mind, that'd be good. I have other things to do soon anyway. But make sure not just to hit the undo button with every page, since I also removed these Defaultsort things on some pages that were definitely not needed. Thanks! ☼ BlazingFist ☼ 16:10, 12 June 2014 (UTC)

Berry baker kids

I placed the {{unknown name}} template of the Berry baker kids page because they weren't given real names such as Emily, Brad, Alan, and so on. To me, berry baker kids sounds like an occupation they're being referred to. PattyMan 01:39, 30 June 2014 (UTC)

To me it seems more like the name of their "baking group", rather than an occupation. Anyway, the dubbers decided to use this in place of "Toraya siblings", so it should be treated as the official name. The {template|unknown name}} would imply they have no known name at all, which isn't true, since they were referred to as this in the episode. ☼ BlazingFist ☼ 10:02, 1 July 2014 (UTC)
Ok then. As for the Nurse Joy an Officer Jenny pages I posted above, you can fix the wording and stuff if you find some of it not making sense. PattyMan 01:00, 2 July 2014 (UTC)

Heroes - Friends and Faux Alike!

Hello, I saw you reverted my edit in XY030 by putting the English name of the previous episode instead of the "XY029" epicode. As I explained in the edit summary, the English name shouldn't be put if its a Japan-only event (in this case, the one-hour special), but rather just the epicode. I'd like to know if there's there any reason to put the English title again, since you might have not been aware of that, or I could be as well wrong. --Gabo 2oo (talk) 20:08, 7 July 2014 (UTC)

My apologies, I didn't check the history so I didn't even notice you had undone anything. Well, all the other couple of episodes that aired right after each other do have the dub title even if they aired only together in Japan. I automatically deduced this was the right thing to do for XY029 and XY030 as well. Personally it weirdens me if only the epicode is shown on a page that represents both the original version and the dub, unlike when it's on a page that's original version only like for a Japanese opening or ending. But perhaps you're right, since it does refer to something that applies to the original version only. Perhaps it's best to ask a higher-up admin about this as I'm not completely sure. In any case, if the latter applies then all the other dub titles on pages of episodes that didn't air together in the English dub should be removed as well. ☼ BlazingFist ☼ 20:27, 7 July 2014 (UTC)

How to make new pages

Look, blaze.I'm Sladoled and literally the only reason I've joined bulbapedia is to make an article on Conway's Slowking.Could you clarify to me how to do it? - unsigned comment from Sladoled (talkcontribs)

You can only create pages once you're autoconfirmed. You'll become autoconfirmed once your account has been active for a while and once you've made a certain amount of edits (the exact number is a secret). That being said, Conway's Slowking is not deemed notable enough for its own article. It only had a couple of appearances and didn't show enough personality. In fact, other users have made pages for it before, but they were deleted by the Staff. Still, there are enough other things you can do on Bulbapedia. Check what Wanted Pages there are for example. There are also articles that are too short, so-called Stubs. Then we have articles needing improvement, and articles needing more information (in the latter, it's usually a short bit of information that's missing). Thanks for the help blaze, and I think that Slowking has shown more personality than pokémon like Sakura's Espeon and you should really consider letting the article exist.Just for the sake of awesome. - unsigned comment from Sladoled (talkcontribs)

You're welcome. Check this to see what requirements a Pokémon needs to get an own page. In the section I linked, especially check point 3. While Slowking may be considered Conway's signature Pokémon, it didn't have any major impact in the episodes it appeared in or in the series as a whole. Sakura's Espeon did, and this is why it does have a page and Conway's Slowking does not. Also, please remember to sign your comments. You do this by leaving four tildes like this: ~~~~. Finally, you linked to Slowking's page like this: [[p|Slowking]]. The correct way is {{p|Slowking}}. In the future, please use the latter when linking to Pokémon. Thanks. ☼ BlazingFist ☼ 11:14, 1 August 2014 (UTC)

Elite Four Members and Champions

Hey Blazingfist,

I'm not trying to be rude, but I've got a question. On the Elite Four page, it lists that Ash has met Lance. I edited it awhile back, adding that Ash has met Diantha. Lance is listed as a Champion on the aforementioned page, so why doesn't it count that Ash met Diantha in The Bonds of Evolution!? - unsigned comment from WATERWARRIOR67 (talkcontribs)

It's because that page lists Lance as Elite Four. I know it's a bit confusing, but back in Gen I Lance was of course still Elite Four. That page counts Lance as being part of the Gen I Elite Four too (even though he was referred to as a Champion in the episodes he appeared in). Also a reminder, please sign your comments. ☼ BlazingFist ☼ 10:05, 5 August 2014 (UTC)

Trivia

On the Rota page, I was guessing. I wasn't really awake when I typed it. I meant to type that it shares its name with the island of Rota, considering it's a real place. I don't know how I keep screwing the simple things up. WATERWARRIOR67 (talk) 17:10, 9 August 2014 (UTC)WATERWARRIOR67

I undid your edit there because I really doubt that's where they got the name Rota from. It sharing the name of a real-life island can also be a coincidence. If the real-life Rota were a medieval-themed town with a castle, yes then it would've been very likely to be the name origin. Since it's a tropical island instead, I really doubt it. Be aware that a lot of the trivia you've added over the past few weeks has been removed, for the simple reason these bits of trivia were not notable enough, or too unfounded. Before you add trivia, always ask yourself if it's notable enough or if the trivia is actually true or based on loose thoughts instead. If you're really not sure, you can always propose the trivia on the talk page of the page you want to add the trivia to, so others can decide if it is indeed notable enough. ☼ BlazingFist ☼ 17:22, 9 August 2014 (UTC)

One, I wish that were the case with Rota; I'm really into history and cultural stuff like that. Two, what do you mean by too unfounded. And three, by "others", who do you mean? - unsigned comment from WATERWARRIOR67 (talkcontribs)

With unfounded I mean that a lot of the trivia you've come up with so far has been very doubtful. Like characters being named after singers or bands, or a medieval town like Rota being named after a real-life tropical island. A lot of them seemed to be based on loose thoughts rather than factual information or likeliness. It's best to only add trivia if it's completely factual or at least very likely. Other trivia you added simply wasn't notable enough. That's why I said you could bring your trivia additions up on talk pages before you add them, just to be sure it's noteworthy, or plausible. With others I simply mean other users. And you've been told before, but please sign your comments. Thanks. ☼ BlazingFist ☼ 23:57, 9 August 2014 (UTC)

Misty

Might want to check out the last few edits to Misty by Spluff5. A number of team alterations that don't look immediately wrong, but seeing as their first edit to the page was replacing one set with information from a fake game (which they then reverted), I'm incredulous. glikglak 20:38, 19 August 2014 (UTC)

I had my doubts too, but the thing they did with changing Corsola into Quagsire is actually correct; Misty does have a Quagsire, and not a Corsola in her HGSS rematch team. I'm still not sure about the other info they added such as the moves and items, but I'll check if that is correct or not. ☼ BlazingFist ☼ 20:48, 19 August 2014 (UTC)

Dub titles

How come XY036's title was dub title was deleted it was from a legible source: Source:

Because Adyniz, who is a Bureaucrat here and watches over the dub title reveals, has said we have to consider these two unconfirmed for now. Bulbapedia is unfamiliar with this source. What if we add all those titles now and they don't turn out to be true? That would be a mess, and this has happened before (I speak out of experience). The official CN schedule with the titles for the month of September should come within 10 days, so let's just wait for that and then we'll see if they turn out to be true. And please sign your comments. ☼ BlazingFist ☼ 09:52, 22 August 2014 (UTC)

Clemontic Gear

Hello, you commented on the picture for the Motivation Machine that it would be better to wait until a confirmation of the names before uploading, so it wouldn't be necessary to move it later. I suggest that, instead of that, we could just name them "Clemontic Gear XYxxx" temporarily, but instead of moving it to a translation of its Japanese name, we could wait until the dub version to air and then move it to its English name. I believe this could save work and time, all while we could still list the Japanese names and translation on the article itself.

Also, is there any specific requirements for userspace articles to be moved to the main space? Because your page is pretty good and I'm worried if its moving stretches out too long. I mean, there are articles like N's Hideout that still haven't been moved to mainspace, even if by now, the information is not as required as it would have been back in the day when it first appeared. I wouldn't want that to happen to the Clemontic Gear page, specially since I haven't really seen any discussion about articles that should be moved to mainspace.

By the way, I have a doubt about the Mega Volt opening header picture. As you can see by its history, I had a little edit war with Ataro (yes, I'm sorry about that, it wasn't called for), since he said that due to the title of the opening, we should use a picture that has something "Mega" on it, instead of the screenshot I considered better. The thing is, leaving that aside, said "Mega" header picture isn't used anymore in the opening sequence, as it was replaced along with other scenes. Is it okay if the head picture for the opening is from a scene that isn't used on it? I ask because we could use that picture in our usual "Variant" section instead, and I asked Ataro about this on his talk page, but he didn't seem to answer me. --Gabo 2oo (talk) 23:42, 15 October 2014 (UTC)

I think that might be a better idea indeed, as you're right having to move from Japanese to dub is also kinda unnecessary moving. Fine with me.
I don't know the specific requirements for it to be moved to the mainspace. I think in most cases, or at least the most important ones, the Editorial Board has the final say. But sometimes it might also be any higher-up admins who make the decision. I'd also see it moved rather soon, I'll bring it up on the talk page.
I'm not sure if I should participate in this discussion, also because I'm only a Junior Admin on Bulbapedia, not on the Archives, so I have little to say there. My advice is to still bring it up with Ataro, and if he doesn't respond maybe send him a reminder. And otherwise you should bring it up with Kogoro. ☼ BlazingFist ☼ 10:07, 16 October 2014 (UTC)

A Question on Creating Pages

Hi, I'm new (It took me a while to find the edit button...) and I just have a quick question. How long after creating an account must you wait until you are allowed to create a page? I'm itching to create one that (surprisingly) doesn't even exist yet! Thanks, hjk321 14:22, 16 February 2015 (UTC)

Hello hjk321. First off, welcome to Bulbapedia. If you have problems finding things out around here, I'd suggest having a look at the FAQ. But asking another user is always a good idea too of course. To answer your question: you need to make a certain number of edits, and your account must have been registered for a certain while. For both requirements I don't know the exact numbers, as this is a secret known by only a few. I'd suggest just to start editing. The numbers to meet those requirements shouldn't be too high. Just edit away and eventually you'll become autoconfirmed, which means you'll be allowed to create pages, among other things. To give some ideas as to what you could edit, I'd suggest checking out the Editor's Hub. Also check out the Manual of Style. The latter is a good guide on general editing. If you have an idea for a page, it's always a good idea to create it in your userspace first. If it is deemed complete and Bulbapedia-worthy, it can be mainspaced. But, to create your userspace you need to become autoconfirmed as well. If you have any further questions, don't hesitate to ask them to me, or any other staff member. I'd be happy to answer. Have a good time around here, and happy editing! ☼ BlazingFist ☼ 17:04, 16 February 2015 (UTC)

Watt's move

I was informed by SnorlaxMonster before that we shouldn't be moving pages if a character's dubname is the same as a later character's Japanese name since the dub name of said later character may be different and moving them back would be a lot to handle. The move of Hoenn's Watt is an example as it was moved too early. I went ahead and added a move tag to Hoenn's Watt. PattyMan 15:59, 14 March 2015 (UTC)

Oh, I was never aware of that rule. Then it should be moved back I guess. ☼ BlazingFist ☼ 16:01, 14 March 2015 (UTC)
Indeed, I too wasn't aware about it at first. These things happen, nothing personal. :) PattyMan 16:10, 14 March 2015 (UTC)
I was going to bring this up, but looks like you already know. It's not really a formal rule, it's just something I've suggested before and got other staff to support (including Kenji-girl). It's probably a good idea to get to this written down properly somewhere (like Bulbapedia:Manual of style/Anime). --SnorlaxMonster 16:20, 14 March 2015 (UTC)
Thanks, I'll certainly keep it in mind for the future. Bringing it up in the MoS would be a good idea if you ask me, as while it is rather logical when you think about it, I think this is something other users might also easily overlook. ☼ BlazingFist ☼ 16:23, 14 March 2015 (UTC)
Oh, and also, there's not much point moving it back now. The idea is that moving it then necessitates moving it back later if the dub name differs (like it often does). Since you've already moved it, moving it back would defeat the point (esp. if the name ends up the same in English). --SnorlaxMonster 16:25, 14 March 2015 (UTC)
Figures. Might the dub name change anyway, I'll gladly help undo the Hoenn Watt's links. Luckily enough Watt was the only one called by name directly in the episode, so we won't have to wait a long time to obtain the dub name through some other source. ☼ BlazingFist ☼ 16:29, 14 March 2015 (UTC)

Genders, standard procedure

I'm wondering about this standard procedure you mentioned. Is this a de facto or de "jure" (written somewhere, I mean) standard procedure? And is it specifically a standard for lists of Pokemon that appear in an area? (To my knowledge, this area listing of Pokemon is a new development, so it's a bit weird for me to think it has a "standard procedure".) Tiddlywinks (talk) 18:22, 30 April 2015 (UTC)

It's an unwritten procedure as far as I know. With standard procedure I mean that it has always applied to pages of locations. Take this one for example. Or this one. I have never questioned this way of doing things, as to me it's kind of logical. If there is a known gender, it should be added. And if the source for the gender is the fact that in the games the Pokémon can only have one gender, why should we deny that? Unless it's stated otherwise (which, to my knowledge, has never happened). ☼ BlazingFist ☼ 18:32, 30 April 2015 (UTC)
Oh. I've never really paid much attention to anime-exclusive locations, so I didn't know these lists were there. Looking at those, I realize it's actually not a big problem for me with something like Jynx, because I easily know Jynx are female, but Florges is one whose gender-lock I haven't likewise assimilated.
For me, if some Pokemon are indeed only one gender, then it's not like if you don't use a gender sign it suddenly means they can be either gender; logically they would be the only gender they can. And comparing such anime lists to the game lists of Pokemon, Flabebe's and Jynx's genders aren't qualified there. And like I mentioned in my original edit summary, it can seem misleading. All images on Bulbapedia are uploaded via the Archives. You can log in with your Bulbapedia account. Uploading images is done with the "Upload media" button in the left menu. Any additonal information can be found in the FAQ, also in the left menu. ☼ BlazingFist ☼ 19:17, 8 May 2015 (UTC)

I mostly take the images I upload from Filb.de. This site has a friendly relationship with Bulbagarden and it is allowed to take images from their site. And sometimes I take images from YouTube videos by using printscreen. Do keep in mind though that these will usually be blurry and of below average quality. Good luck. ☼ BlazingFist ☼ 19:35, 8 May 2015 (UTC)
Do you know the reason why it says "You do not have permission to create new pages." when I try to upload a file ? Being autoconfirmed on Bulbapedia doesn't mean autoconfirmed on Bulbagarden archives ? - unsigned comment from LeoKetchumB (talkcontribs)
That is correct. You have to get autoconfirmed on the Archives as well. Since you can't upload images yet, you'll have to find summaries of images you can edit or improve, it's pretty much the only way. ☼ BlazingFist ☼ 14:41, 10 May 2015 (UTC)
What are the requirements to being autoconfirmed on Archives : just wait a certain time ? (cause there is nothing to edit on the Archives). - unsigned comment from LeoKetchumB (talkcontribs)
As far as I know, the requirements to be autoconfirmed on the Archives are exactly the same as on Bulbapedia. The exact number of edits you'll have to make is just a secret. "There is nothing to edit on the Archives" is not true, in my previous message I already told you you can edit summaries of images that are in need of improvement or something else. It's just harder to find something to edit on the Archives than it is on Bulbapedia, that's all. And please, don't forget to sign your comments. ☼ BlazingFist ☼ 15:14, 10 May 2015 (UTC)

Even if there's a title, it's better to wait till someone has created a page on it before adding a link to it. Bulbapedia has a couple of translators and one of them will have to properly translate the title first (automated internet translators are usually very wrong) before there will be a page on it. ☼ BlazingFist ☼ 18:57, 19 May 2015 (UTC)

In other languages

Is there no specific style as to how the other language info has to be written? I have been editing a lot of these sections recently and saw that sometimes punctuations have been used, and sometimes not. It looks completely random and really not very good. I'm not saying that we should go ahead and make scores of edits to just add some full-stops, but there has to be some rule regarding this so that they can be gradually changed over time. -Sher-e-Bengal- 16:55, 20 June 2015 (UTC)

Town infobox needs to be updated to display "other generation maps" for ORAS

Hello! Currently "Town infobox" doesn't display "other generation maps" if the original generation parameter is less than 3. I believe this is because of the code

{{#ifexpr: {{{generation|1}}} < 3|

in the infobox :) This means that Hoenn locations in ORAS do not display the "other generation maps" panel, which would be needed in order to show the previous version of the location as seen in RSE. I can't even try to fix it, because I don't have the rights to edit it. Can you take a look and see if just changing that 3 to 4 makes it work properly, or if there is some other solution? Thanks! Magical Leaf and Razor Leaf are both possible options. We've seen in Generations that not all of the moves look similar to how the moves in the anime series look nowadays, so why can't it be either of those two moves as well? Diantha is on stage during the Lumiose City ceremony to celebrate the new Champion. That should be enough confirmation. And Lance isn't there because one of the Rocket Grunts in PG04 explicitly said: "It's Lance of the Elite Four". ☼ BlazingFist ☼ 01:21, 24 December 2016 (UTC)

Yes, Giant Pokémon should also be added to the page and I see that has already been taken care of. ☼ BlazingFist ☼ 09:41, 28 April 2017 (UTC)

Porygon nicknamed Pokémon

I recently came across User:Blazingfist/Anime Pokémon with nicknames, which was very helpful, but I think that it's missing a Pokémon. In EP038, "Electric Soldier Porygon", Team Rocket temporarily use a Porygon referred to as "Porygon Zero". While this episode wasn't aired outside of Japan and I don't speak Japanese so I can't verify it, I think it's technically the first nicknamed Pokémon. Unfortunately, I don't have edit rights to the user namespace so I can't add it myself, but I thought I'd let you know. -Thunderforge (talk) 03:26, 3 July 2017 (UTC)

Squirtle at Oak's Laboratory

Before the photo sequence, Rotom had gone missing from the corral. By the end of the episode it said itself that it went on a journey to fill the Kanto Pokédex, without specifying where exactly was it wandering around. The Squirtle Squad photo being specifically taken at Oak's lab is pure speculation. --Gabo 2oo (talk) 05:29, 22 September 2017 (UTC)

I'd say that the photo being taken outside of Oak's lab is pure speculation. There was no indication it had left. Going on a journey to fill fhe Kanto Pokédex may have meant as well going on a journey through the Oak corral, as it has been established that the corral is pretty big and a lot of Pokémon species live there. So saying Rotom left the lab is more speculative than saying it was at the lab all the time. Unless you have direct evidence that Rotom left the lab (dialogue I may have missed or something else). Then please present this. Rotom going missing is no evidence as they had a lot to focus on and had to cut away to other characters. ☼ BlazingFist ☼ 09:11, 22 September 2017 (UTC)
Fair enough. I didn't consider a "journey" through the corral could actually make sense; I associated it with going out and exploring the region, even though doing so in just one day makes little sense. On the other hand, registering all the Kanto Pokémon (sans Mew) in Oak's corral also makes little sense, but yeah, there's no clear indication that Rotom had actually left the lab. --Gabo 2oo (talk) 19:46, 22 September 2017 (UTC)
I can definitely see what you mean, and Squirtle not being at Oak's lab would make a lot more sense, but since we can't say for sure and the episode took place at Oak's lab, we have to avoid that assumption. ☼ BlazingFist ☼ 19:59, 22 September 2017 (UTC)

Lusamine's Pokémon

Hi, I had a discussion with Pumpkinking0192 on his talk page about whether Lusamine's Herdier and Clefable have evolved from the Lillipup and Cleffa that appeared in her family photo, because this was never explicitly stated. However, up until now, we have always assumed that character's Pokémon have evolved if the character later reappeared with the Pokémon's evolved form (for example May's Venusaur, Paul's Aggron, Alain's Metagross, etc.). Since this situation is basically the same as those, I don't see why the Pokémon's evolution can't be assumed. Since you're a staff member, I thought I'd ask for your opinion on this. Satsjoe (talk) 15:08, 21 October 2017 (UTC)

My apologies for the late reply, I have been kind of busy lately. I can see both sides of the story, really. It's true that until now, we have often assumed that a Pokémon owned by someone is the same as its pre-evolved form if they were both owned by that certain someone. However, I can also see Pumpkinking's side of the argument, as policies and ways of thinking have changed around here through the years. Perhaps it is time to review this way of thinking. Trainers in the anime can just as easily own both species seperately. Take Nando for example, who owns both a Kricketot and a Kricketune. It's just that Kricketune appeared first that we know he owns them both, but if it was the other way around we might have wrongfully assumed Kricketune had evolved from Kricketot. I do get where this way of thinking comes from, as it is curious in this case that both Cleffa and Lillipup appear in the picture when Lusamine owns a Clefable and a Herdier. But when it comes down to it, we're not 100% sure and are technically assumimg when we listed them as evolved from Cleffa and Lillipup. Therefore, long story short, I don't really have the answer right now. It may be a bit much to retroactively use this new way of thinking on every article where this is applicable (I'd truly hate to list May both owning a Bulbasaur and a Venusaur to be honest, even if that is technically assuming too), but there is certainly truth in this way of thinking. Perhaps it's best if this issue is discussed on a broader scale, as I'm not exactly in the position to make a decision on this. ☼ BlazingFist ☼ 21:01, 22 October 2017 (UTC)
Ah okay, well thanks for your response. Satsjoe (talk) 18:23, 24 October 2017 (UTC)

Just in case, I'm also gonna say it here; I replied to you on my User_talk:KingisNitro. KingisNitro (talk) 00:35, 18 March 2018 (UTC)

Can you help me with this?

I recently ran into a potential mistake regarding a held item on a Pokémon World Tournament Pokémon, and I'd like to see if a mistake has been made regarding it. Since I'm shamelessly lazy, I'll just say that the problem is described on this talk page, instead of describing it here again. Sorry. Since you apparently own a Black 2 Version, could you check this out for me? I also have the Unova sequels on my emulator, but I can't remember if I've unlocked the correct tournament in them yet. Can you check if there has been a mistake? Whichever way it turns out to be, thank you in advance. --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 15:40, 7 April 2018 (UTC)

I'll see what I can do. Problem is, I sent pretty much all of my high leveled, competitively viable Pokémon in B2W2 over to later games. So I'm not well equipped to do the Tournament anymore in that game. But I'll see if I can still check it out later. ☼ BlazingFist ☼ 15:56, 7 April 2018 (UTC)

Sophocles's Charjabug

Could its history of being used in SM054 be removed? It only attacked one Pokemon once and that's all it did. The whole scenes of Lana, Mallow and Sophocles battling were short enough, but Charjabug's appearance was even smaller. Playerking95 (talk) 08:35, 28 April 2018 (UTC)

Since I cannot edit it, I wanted to forward the interview with Ken Sugimori, along with a page that shows the Pokemon in full view; https://vignette.wikia.nocookie.net/lostpokemon/images/5/5d/Cover_Artist_Interview.jpg/revision/latest?cb=20111216210259 http://www.hairyticksofdune.net/dropbox/sugimori.html --Pichu Madman26 (talk) 21:24, 3 June 2018 (UTC)

Thanks for sharing this, it's really interesting. There's not a lot in the interview that's useful for Bulbapedia however. Question

Could my Professor Kukui anime page be mainspaced sometime soon? I feel like he's been important in at least a few episodes and he's appeared in almost all of them. WithTapu Koko, as it has played a big role in a few episodes and will be fighting Necrozma soon and that seems like something important in this arc. As for Rapp's Zubat, I'm not sure if it fits the criteria, but it was heavily involved in SM001, SM025 and somewhat so in SM084. Playerking95 (talk) 15:43, 23 August 2018 (UTC)

Rapp's Zubat, no. Kukui, maybe. But that's not something I can decide on my own, I will need to consult with other staff. I think you're better off directly asking Head of Anime abcboy to be honest. ☼ BlazingFist ☼ 15:52, 23 August 2018 (UTC)

Air Slash

FinnishPokeFan responded in an edit summary on Air Slash's page by saying Oh, be quiet, because there isn't any confirmation on some of Lunala's moves from today's episode? Could something be done about that edit summary telling me to shush? He also added Psycho Cut as a move that Necrozma used, but for months or weeks Lusamine's page listed Absol as having used Psycho Cut but it turned out to be Razor Wind. Eevee, Where Are You Going?

GrammarFreak keeps adding Eevee above Trainer Pokemon for episode 1. Aren't Trainer Pokemon always listed at the top of the list, even if the recurring Pokemon are important? Playerking95 (talk) 09:44, 28 October 2018 (UTC)

I feel putting Eevee lower on the list would be detrimental, since it's clearly the star of those shorts yet there's more emphasis on the Trainers' Pokémon. The cast lists should reflect that. GrammarFreak01 (talk) 09:53, 28 October 2018 (UTC)
Pokémon belonging to main characters always goes first, and then important recurring Pokémon. Pokémon belonging to unimportant, nameless characters go after that. GrammarFreak is correct here.--ForceFire 11:47, 28 October 2018 (UTC)
Except that's not true and has never been the case. Every single page lists recurring Pokemon under nameless Trainers. Look at SM013, Bewear is clearly listed under normal Trainers. Playerking95 (talk) 12:36, 29 October 2018 (UTC)

Pokemon Hierarchy

To Blazingfist and only Blazingfist: Don't Pokemon with Trainers always go above wild Pokemon? Playerking95 (talk) 12:38, 29 October 2018 (UTC)

I agree with Force Fire, this is a special case. Eevee is clearly the star of its own "show" and to list it secondary to background Pokémon in the listings would be rather silly if you ask me. These shorts are very different from regular episodes anyway. ☼ BlazingFist ☼ 13:05, 29 October 2018 (UTC)

Pokémon League Conference article pictures

Since you have been minorly involved in this I thought I would come to you about it. On the Pokémon League Conference article, the table shows images of the locations where the competitions take place. The pictures of the Indigo Plateau and Silver Conferences have been changed to just pictures of the main stadiums. I personally don't agree with this change because all of the other tournament pictures show all of the stadiums the competition takes place in. The old pictures of Indigo Plateau and Silver Town showed all of the stadiums for those conferences, but the new single stadium pictures don't. Thoughts? --HoennMaster 19:48, 8 November 2018 (UTC)

Yes, I agree with you. The images should be representative of the tournament complex as a whole, not just one small part of it. If there's a good image of the entire complex, I don't see any reason why we should change it to an image of just one stadium. This is especially the case with the Silver Conference IMO. We use images for the entire complex for the Hoenn, Sinnoh and Unova leagues and not just the stadium that the finals are held in, why should that be different for the Silver Conference?
Although I will say a case can be made for the Indigo Conference. The image that was used for it was from the Battle Frontier saga and also showed the Grand Festival venues, so it wasn't ideal. I'm not 100% sure, but I don't think the old Kanto league episodes ever showed a clear shot of the entire tournament complex. So I'm saying a case can be made there, but on the other hand I'm also not against using the Battle Frontier image. ☼ BlazingFist ☼ 19:57, 8 November 2018 (UTC)
I find your choice of words very interesting. First because you're saying the main stadium of the Silver Conference is "just one small part of it" when it's actually the place where most of the important battles took place and also the largest stadium by far. We don't even have images of the other stadiums and yet we're choosing to ignore the one image we have because other stadiums exist (!!!).
Second because you seem to think that we have a good image of the entire complex when we don't. What we have is an image of Silver Town and we can hardly see the other stadiums there. The very user who uploaded that image, FinnishPokéFan92, prefers to use the image of the main stadium judging by their edit to the Pokémon League Conference page.
Lastly, in your most recent edit summary in the Pokémon League Conference page, you said "Let's stay consistent: the Hoenn, Sinnoh and Unova leagues don't use final stadium images." which I'm assuming is a joke, because as I said here, that is the opposite of being consistent. We use images of stadiums rather than images of the hosting city. If you want to see the image of the hosting city, you click on the link below the stadium image and check its page. The League tournaments you mentioned don't use "final stadium images" because all of their stadiums are connected.
Also, I'd like to add that you were the one who added that table listing the Grand Festival tournaments to the Grand Festival page, and you did not use the Indigo Plateau image, you chose to use the image of the main stadium, I wonder why it's different now. But that's that on that. Just wanted to point out all of these inconsistencies. They're happening fairly often as of lately. Can you believe that earlier today I added the incomplete tag to a page created by the current head of anime? A page that has almost no content aside from the langtable. In the past the staff would move these articles to the userspace, but now the staff is creating pages with two sentences directly in the mainspace. Thanks for reading. --Mikuri 01:06, 9 November 2018 (UTC)
First off, please change your tone. I find your tone rather condescending, and I have often found it to be this way towards other people. It's not helping you in the least. You're not some high and mighty person whose opinions are superior.
Regarding your points: yes, and the central stadiums of the Hoenn, Sinnoh and Unova Leagues are also a small part of it, and yet we use the overview images. Yes, the other stadiums exist, and that's exactly why. They should be acknowledged. The League didn't take place in just one big stadium, it took place over multiple stadiums and the image reflects that.
There's where we disagree, I do. It is an image of the entire complex.
I disagree again, I think only doing the final stadium thing for two leagues and not three others is inconsistent. It's not a joke in the least, it's fairly rude of you to say so. I don't think your opinions are a joke, even though I disagree with them. I don't see what stadiums being connected has to do with anything. Either upload final stadium images of the Hoenn, Sinnoh and Unova league or don't. It's that simple.
Yes, I did at that time, but my first priority was getting that template done and that Grand Festival image just used to be the main page image at that time. I don't really know about any inconsistensies. Maybe it's just things not going the way you want them to go. I can't speak for abcboy, and it's fairly unbelievable that you choose to backstab him via some unrelated discussion on my talk page. If you have a problem with him, bring it up with him, not me. ☼ BlazingFist ☼ 07:21, 9 November 2018 (UTC)
I am not the one acting as if my opinions are superior. There wasn't a single moment when I said "I personally don't agree with this" or a variation of that. Unlike HoennMaster who literally said that, word for word, I wasn't giving my own personal opinion, I was stating (and illustrating with examples) how things work (or used to work, I don't know anymore) around here.
Regarding my tone, well, if you look at the three most recent discussions on my talkpage, you will see that I can be very nice and polite. But different situations call for different tones, and I am sorry if this discussion hurt your feelings.
It doesn't surprise me in the least that you find the Silver Town image a good one considering all of the low quality images you uploaded to start this page (some of which now have newer, better versions uploaded by me). And just to clarify, I wasn't laughing at your opinions, but rather at your courage to argue that you're being consistent when you're not.
Also, I wasn't backstabbing abcboy. If I had sent you a private message, sure. But this page can (and I'm sure it has) be read by him. Stabbing someone in the back means the person isn't looking, and this discussion is available for anyone to see. What I was doing is painting a picture, one that shows the staff as people whose actions are not consistent with how they expect other users to behave and with Bulbapedia's overall style.
Please answer, was I lying when I said that starting an article the way abcboy started the Wind Festival one (if we can call that an article) would result in the user who started it receiving a warning on their talkpage, told to wait for more information, and having the page moved to their userspace? Is this not true?
You said that my attitude isn't helping me at all, but when I did ask for help, I didn't get any response. Apparently because FF seems to think that this kind of edit is doing wonders for Bulbapedia. Or perhaps because he is too busy doing things like this? Because these are two great examples of quality edits.
To further confirm what I'm saying about the staff being inconsistent, we have this page sitting at the pile of candidates for moving for over two years now because, according to Tiddlywinks, we have to wait for Editorial Board approval when, in reality, EB member Ataro created the article super-ancient Pokémon (Adventures). Don't you find that curious?
The same Tiddlywinks recently deleted the Battle Frontier articles even though the split had been approved by SnorlaxMonster. But I am sure that you're well aware of all of that because you said that you have found my tone to be condescending towards other people, so it can be presumed that you have seen these messages before.
It seems as if I have changed topics, but when I joined this discussion I wasn't planning to get the Silver Stadium image back into the Pokémon League Conference page. You had already made your decision without waiting for a proper discussion to take place and ignoring, as did HoennMaster, the existing discussion on my talkpage. I was trying to shine a light on these inconsistencies, which I have accomplished. I'm hoping that you understand that instead of accusing me of backstabbing others. Thank you. --Mikuri 16:19, 11 November 2018 (UTC)
This discussion didn't hurt my feelings in the least. But it's clear that you can be very dismissive of others and their opinions. Look no further than "I'm assuming is a joke" in your previous message. And you display this kind of attitude all over. I'm sure you can be nice as well, but that doesn't excuse your less favourable behaviour. I don't really care if you think my opinions or way of thinking are a joke, but it's no secret that a lot of people at Bulbapedia and Bulbagarden in general have autism, social anxiety, etc., and speaking so harshly to others can be hurtful to them. Take that as you wish. There's no problem with disagreeing with someone, but you can do so in a courteous, respectful way.
Not sure why you're bashing the images over at my userspace page that currently doesn't have a Mainspace tag to it. Seems rather petty of you to complain over that, but alas.
Alright, perhaps backstabbing was not the right word. But I still find it pretty weak to bring it up in an unrelated discussion on my talk page. You didn't bother to talk this over with abcboy on his talk page. I'm honestly not sure why you're rambling on about unrelated staff complaints in a message about some image. I'm just an Administrator so I'm not the one to solve broader staff complaints. If you feel something is wrong with Bulbapedia staff, talk it over with Kogoro.
I honestly have nothing further to say to you or to add to this discussion. I've said what I've wanted to say on the matter as a whole and in response to your message. My opinion hasn't changed and I have much better things to do currently than argue in long posts over some image (letalone staff complaints), so I won't reply any further, just so you know. For staff complains I'll redirect you to Kogoro and for discussion regarding the image, just start a talk page discussion and ask what other users think. ☼ BlazingFist ☼ 16:47, 11 November 2018 (UTC)
So judging by the messages you left on this discussion you have seen me treating others in a condescending manner for quite a while now but it never once crossed your mind to leave me a message on my talk page telling me to be nicer or something? It's only when it affects you directly that you felt the need to speak out and play the role of advocate for autism and social anxiety? Nice try but I'm not buying it.
I wasn't bashing your images. I was merely saying they're low quality, which is far from offering the harsh criticism the word "bashing" conveys. How easily offended can you be? Please select your words more carefully and don't attempt to paint me as someone I am not. First by saying I was backstabbing abcboy, then by implying I'm not considerate of others, and now this.
And please give me some credit. How clueless do you think I am? The section directly above this one has Playerking95 demanding to be answered by you and only you. The reason for this? Everyone and their grandparents know that staff members keep an eye on each others' talk pages. Staffers have meddled into several discussions outside their talk pages before, but oftentimes they will conveniently ignore some discussions like this one. Why should I copy and paste this into the talk pages of each of the users I mentioned? To be left on read by Force Fire again? To be told by Tiddlywinks that there's no great rush in solving a problem he created?
I doubt abcboy and the others haven't read this yet, but he hasn't replied because there's really no defending a two-sentence article. And whether or not you admit it, you know fully well I'm right, otherwise you would have answered the question I left in my previous message regarding this.
Answering or ignoring this is your choice, and I have no interest in continuing this discussion either, but I'm not going to sit and watch as you act all holier-than-thou and paint me as a backstabber inconsiderate who is bashing you. --Mikuri 22:49, 11 November 2018 (UTC)
It's clear that you don't think very highly of me but no worries, the feeling is entirely mutual. As I said, I have no interest in further talking with you. Discuss your pent up staff frustrations with Kogoro. Bye bye now. ☼ BlazingFist ☼ 22:57, 11 November 2018 (UTC)
