Max Guard (Japanese: ダイウォール Dai Wall) is a non-damaging Normal-type Max Move introduced in Generation VIII.
Effect
Max Guard protects the user from moves for the rest of the turn. Unlike other protection moves, it fully protects the user from Max Moves. It can also guard the user against Phantom Force, Transform, and Psych Up.
Max Guard does not protect the user against Feint, but will still protect the user from subsequent attacks. It also does not block Role Play, Perish Song, or Decorate.
All of a Pokémon's status moves, regardless of type, will convert to Max Guard upon Dynamaxing.
