Jungle (Japanese: ポケモンジャングル Pokémon Jungle) is the name given to the second expansion of cards and Theme Decks for the Pokémon Trading Card Game.
Information
- In the original Japanese version Jungle contained 48 cards, however, the English version was expanded to 64 cards once Wizards of the Coast decided to include non-holographic copies of the holographic cards. This was to become a recurrent ploy that Wizards used to increase the set size as well preventing booster packs from guaranteeing a holofoil card.
- The set was originally planned for release in North America around August (and rumored as late as October). However, since Topps was releasing their Pokémon trading cards earlier in the summer, Wizards decided to push Jungle far ahead of schedule to June 16. Within two weeks 1st Edition Jungle was sold out so Unlimited Jungle was rolled out shortly after.
- In Australia, the Unlimited Jungle release used red lettering instead of yellow for the word "Pokemon" on the Booster Box, Booster Packs and Theme Decks. This was intended to help prevent counterfeiting.
- The 1st Edition print run of Jungle also accidentally contained the extremely rare 1st Edition Promo Pikachu. It is believed that there was only 1 in every 10 boxes, and is now considered very valuable.
- There is only one Psychic Pokémon in the set, Mr. Mime, and one Trainer card, Poké Ball.

Trivia
- Early prints of the Unlimited Holofoil cards were printed without the Jungle set symbol. This error was corrected later in the print run.
- The artwork of the Japanese booster box was done by Mitsuhiro Arita.
- The Japanese Jungle booster box depicts an Exeggutor with an elongated neck that greatly resembles the Alolan Exeggutor.
