In addition, there is also the bizarre case of Heracross wanderers in Sword and Pinsir wanderers in Shield in Training Lowlands during snow and snowstorm, despite them supposedly being version-exclusive for the other. Missing info
I haven't analyzed encounter data, and/but just went around the island, maybe it helps (Sword, no champion, but past the Eternatus event):
- I've definitely seen Malamar, for example, so low-level encounters evolve when transitioning to higher-level ones!? I think that hasn't been the case at Wild Area, right?
- (Whatever I checked there, Pokewiki seems to be very reliable)
- Sharpedo chase you at I think all of the outside ocean areas (Workout Sea, Stepping Stone Sea, etc.), they appear somewhere near the horizon, then approach you. I've been chased by two of them simultaneously. They're super hilarious and annoying. They cross boundaries (they still hit me after I retreated to Challenge Beach waters), so they probably have fixed spawn locations. They disappear when the hit an island, or sometimes when they're out of sight or something.
- Clobbopus is swimming (at least) in Courageous Cavern, near the Loop Lagoon exti next to Tentacool and Tentacruel; at the land part I see Chewtle, Woobat, Golisopod, Pincurchin right now; I've seen Whiscash elsewhere in Courageous Cavern water
- The three cave locations seem to have permanent clear weather (not sure if you can trick spawns)
- I see Toxapex, Staryu and Starmie at Challenge Beach
- Workout Sea beach has Slowpoke-G, Starmie, Kingler, and there's also a Marill near the beach
- Loop Lagoon beaches have Grapploct, Sandygast, small chance for Pincurchin
- Training Lowlands beach seems to only have Staryu, with Kingler nearby

- Question: are Pokemon levels natural or the "boosted" 60 for you?
- I've been able to look around a bit myself. I need to sort out a lot...is it from a table already on the page, is it from another table, (especially) is it a wanderer. As far as Sharpedo, I did notice them and I noticed a few tables that only have Sharpedo. My current guess is that they're their own special kind of spawn (but not daily like wanderers). There's so many other Pokemon all over the island, I'm not sure atm if there are others that fit Sharpedo's mold.
- Malamar could be a wanderer. (Wanderers aren't in here.) Does it respawn?

- Most of the Pokémon I mentioned may have been wanderers, especially the evolved ones. I can't seem to find Malamar today, but I guess it's a wanderer (although it's a bit hard to tell when the only difference to 100% symbol encounters is that they will respawn before I leave the area)? I think I'll have to take a look at the raw data: Is this a complete list of non-wanderers here? You can't extract similar lists of wanderers just by looking at the data, you'd have to find out what's where and which weather, or can you? Do all non-boosted wanderers have the same level? - Wild Area wanderers only spawn once a day, it doesn't matter if you leave the area or not. (If you run or beat them, they stay gone. But some of the wanderers /outside/ the Wild Area respawn.) Everything else can respawn within a few seconds.
- If encounters aren't boosted, wanderers have their own levels, they're not all the same.
- I actually got the wanderers recently. I've added them...but then, there's so many with no real cues that it may not help a WHOLE lot... Tiddlywinks (talk) 14:09, 28 June 2020 (UTC)
- I'm gonna begin putting wanderers onto pages, knowing that it'll only be partially for some locations, hoping for the community to do the rest.
- Some other tidbits I didn't already mention:
- Zorua saw me and ran away after a while, and I cannot seem to make it respawn
- There seems to be a difference of Pokémon visually disappearing and actually de-spawning; I saw a Pokémon of "foreign" weather disappear, then instantly approached that spot, and it reappeared as that foreign weather Pokémon (not sure if this is the case in Wild Area as well)
- Sharpedo have a met location of where they're caught, not where they initially spawn (thought it was worth a try)
- Sharpedo respawn near-instantly (so I think they're essentially symbol encounters)
- I'm notoriously bad at describing (exact) locations, so they're up to improvement, but at least you should know which one I'm referring to when you see it
- I'm not keeping track of items
- I'm using levels posted here (if they're unambiguous)

- Condensing the wanderer presentation is actually worth considering, grouping just by species and less by location, at least for locations like Challenge Beach, where nobody will care where exactly the sixth and seventh Pelipper are, but would like to see with just one look without scrolling what species may appear in which weather. - I was thinking "six along the beach/path" will probably be fine for some. (There are 50% more wanderers in IoA than the Wild Area without even going into the water-only areas.)

- I didn't know any wanderers would run away. I saw Zorua, I'll have to check again.
- Yes, you may have to go a bit farther than loss of visual for a Pokemon to actually despawn.
- I agree that Sharpedo is like normal symbols; just behaving specially.
- I'm trying to fill in my wanderer data at the moment. FWIW, I've seen fog, before it's viable in the Wild Area. I'm not sure the caves have any non-clear weather. And I'm not sure any IoA locations have snow or blizzard (which honestly makes more sense than the Wild Area going all over; also, those'll probably be in Crown Tundra) or thunderstorm (though I have seen rain). I don't know about sandstorm either: Potbottom Desert definitely had it, but that makes sense, I don't know if other places would. I'm also focusing on the primarily land locations first, all that sea is intimidating.

- The internet agrees that the 15th of each month has a specific weather, with thunderstorm being one of them. One site says sandstorm (which is not on the list) may randomly occur on any non-ocean area, but I think I've only seen it at Potbottom Desert (which they say has an odd behavior). On Feb 15 and Nov 15 the prevailing weather is cloudy, but on Feb 15 these three places are cloudy while on Nov 15 they're clear... Nowhere else has any difference between those days.
