Halves the damage taken from moves that make direct contact, but doubles that of Fire-type moves.

Halves the damage taken from moves that make direct contact, but doubles that of Fire-type moves.
Generation IX
Halves the damage taken from moves that make direct contact, but doubles that of Fire-type moves.

Fluffy (Japanese: もふもふ Fluffy) is an Ability introduced in Generation VII. Prior to Generation VIII, it was the signature Ability of Stufful and Bewear.

Effect

In battle

A Pokémon with Fluffy takes half damage from moves that make contact. It also takes double damage from Fire-type moves. Fire-type moves that make contact will deal regular damage. Moves affected by Long Reach which make contact will deal regular damage.

Outside of battle

Fluffy has no effect outside of battle.
