In the {{p|Enamorus}} article, it is stated that the EV yield of the Therian Forme is 3 Attack. You need to improve on your grammar a bit. "due the" doesn't have any meaning. Try to improve a little before making newer edits. Thank you.--Sher-e-Bengal- 11:34, 11 October 2010 (UTC)
Please
Now that we have all the new Pokémon, abilities, and moves created, it is requested that you make sure you use the translations that we use as standard. Some of your edits to the breeding sections have resulted in some redlinks. It isn't a big deal, I just want to make sure you are aware. MaverickNate 05:37, 16 October 2010 (UTC)
GRAMMAR PLEASE?
Sorry if I seem rude, but half the your recent edits have grammatical errors which I am getting tired of fixing. Please double-check your grammar or at least check it in a program such as Microsoft Word. --+ Joeshie + (is Mæ!) 02:14, 18 October 2010 (UTC)
Breeding tables
Hi. Thanks for your work on the breeding tables, but we're actually taking the line breaks out for a reason: they were making the tables far too tall. Bikini Miltank 20:24, 20 October 2010 (UTC)
Hi
Please use the preview button before saving your edits, that way you can check for grammar errors, which you have made a couple of times recently. Also, the way you have worded your trivia (which I might add, is not notable enough to be on the pages anyway) makes it seem as though they are the only pokemon in their egg groups.XVuvuzela2010X 06:21, 16 December 2010 (UTC)
Can you help me?
I've been having trouble with Nuzleaf. People keep deleting a really interesting trivia post and I'm getting really frustrated. It talks about the similarity of a Red Pikmin and a shiny Nuzleaf. Can you figure that out for me and let me know? Thanks. - unsigned comment from Pokedex493 (talk • contribs)

Lyra/Ethan's Rattata
Are you taking this move data from what a wild Rattata would have at that level, or did you look inside the game's code and check that Rattata? --SnorlaxMonster 10:29, 18 December 2010 (UTC)

Last warning
Grammar. You need to fix it. And the preview button. Use it. You've been warned about these things before a couple times. If you don't fix it, you may be susceptible to a block. Also, trivia. Stop adding it. Inexperienced users generally should avoid adding trivia as its a fairly slippery slope due to proper notability. If you think something it notable, bring it up on a talk page first. -- MAGNEDETH 00:53, 20 December 2010 (UTC)

Please. If you can't finish everything that needs finished with changing the templates, don't do it at all. MaverickNate 15:11, 11 January 2011 (UTC)

Regarding Pokédex entries for TCG
Only make use of that template on Pokémon with the Japanese entries as well, thanks. ht14 21:41, 27 January 2011 (UTC)
- This means don't change that template unless you can actually add the Japanese text in the edit yourself as well. Also, how can a Japanese card have an English dex entry? Please don't change these until you know what is going on with every card. MaverickNate 19:41, 28 January 2011 (UTC)
- I don't want you to change anymore. The FIRST contribution of yours I pulled up was Blissey in Neo Revelation. The fake japanese dex entry you put does NOT match what the Japanese card has for its dex entry. Since you are doing it wrong, you are not allowed to do it anymore. Don't mess with me. If you change any more, I'll need to take further action. I don't like people doing things half-assed, and when they actually add false information, which is a blockable offense, I get really upset, especially when it's in the section I spent three years building it. Don't change anymore of the pages. MaverickNate 03:22, 6 February 2011 (UTC)

- You did a similar thing on Machamp's gen III breeding table. Mr. Mime can pass Counter down to him, and he himself can learn it through move tutor. You couldn't have removed it because the list was getting too long, as there were only three on it. Whether or not this is practical (as you could simply tutor it to Machamp) isn't necessary, as its practicality doesn't affect its validity. I'm going to re-add Mr. Mime with a caption as to how he learns it, but please don't remove things just because they go by a method you wouldn't follow. --Gerix 00:21, 24 March 2012 (UTC)

Thanks!! --ZestyCactus 00:21, 27 October 2012 (UTC)
- Probably comes from Chuang Yi's translation, since they have the same cover and the red Pokémon logo as Chuang Yi. btw, just found out that Panda Books is the publisher for Electric Tale of Pikachu in Indonesian too. AKUro? あくロちゃん 11:10, 29 October 2012 (UTC)
- Well, the red Pokémon logo isn't just used by Chuang Yi, it's used officially in a lot of Asian countries such as Thailand, Philippines and of course Singapore. However since the cover design for that Electric Tale of Pikachu book is like literally identical i'd be willing to bet it is based on CY's version :D thanks for the response! --ZestyCactus 00:05, 30 October 2012 (UTC)

lop/ability
Hi. I see you're apparently trying to update Template:lop/ability so the List of Pokémon by Ability can show two Hidden Abilities in one cell. But I don't think that'd look very good, and I also think that's not so much what the list is (or kind of should be) for exactly. I think the list should just be for the current abilities of Pokemon.
I can certainly understand if you want an easily accessible link to the Pokemon's pre-Gen VI Hidden Ability. As an alternative to putting it all in the current tables, though, maybe we could just create a new section/table that just lists Pokemon who have had ability changes (changes only, I think, not additions like Starly gaining Reckless, or Jigglypuff gaining Competitive). A solution like that kind of appeals to me.
In any case, like I said, I don't think it's actually a good idea to try to display two HAs in the main List of Pokemon by Ability, and I want to revert your edits to the template. I just thought maybe we could talk about it before I do that, rather than after, and hopefully reach an understanding... =) Tiddlywinks (talk) 14:23, 28 November 2013 (UTC)

Characteristics sections on type pages
Statements like, "Defensively, Ground-type Pokémon are somewhat risky." are subjective, statements like, "Single-target physical moves such as Drill Run and High Horsepower can be generally considered inferior options to Earthquake;" are "talking strategy", and neither belong on Bulbapedia. Please don't add them to type pages. In case you're wondering, this was discussed here. sumwun (talk) 17:32, 30 August 2018 (UTC)
- I want to achieve some kind of agreement about what's allowed on type pages, so I'll try to explain to you why I think some things should be allowed or not allowed. I'll use ground as my example because you edited that first. First and foremost, you removed the detail about ground Pokemon being immune to sandstorm damage. I liked that detail. Now for the stuff you decided to keep...
- "Defensively, Ground-type Pokémon are backed up by their overall decent HP and Defense stats."
- What is "decent"? How much HP and physical defense does a type need to be "decent"? 80 points? 81 points? 82? 83?
- "Despite this, their below average Special Defense worsen their weakness to common Water, Grass, and Ice types (all of which have generally special movesets)."
- Describing the drawback of below average special defense is "talking strategy". Saying that water, grass, and ice Pokemon are generally special attackers is also "talking strategy".
- "Ground only resists Poison (a type rarely used offensively) and Rock, but it is immune to Electric-type moves, including the crippling Thunder Wave."
- This is redundant. Everything here was already mentioned in the battle properties section.
- "Offensively, Ground is one of the most powerful types, not to mention having the potential as a neutral coverage."
- What does "powerful" mean? If it means being super effective against a lot of Pokemon, then you should have said so.
- "It is the only type super effective against Electric, and is super effective against five types in total, a coverage matched only by Fighting, which is also super effective against the Rock and Steel types."
- I think this is worth keeping, but it should probably explicitly state that ground is the most super effective type.
- "The other types are Fire, Rock, Poison, and Steel."
- This is also redundant.
- "Even though Grass- and Bug-type Pokémon resist Ground attacks, many of them lose this resistance due to secondary typings with a weakness to Ground (such as the common Grass/Poison and Bug/Poison types)."
- I think saying that they often lose the resistance counts as "talking strategy".
- "Ground-type physical moves are commonly known and have many potent options, most notably Earthquake, which has high attack power and widespread compatibility due to its TM status in every generation."
- How is this not "talking strategy"?
- "However, Earthquake, along with Magnitude and Bulldoze deals damage by half under the effect of Grassy Terrain."
- This is about some moves, not about the ground type itself.
- "Ground-type special moves pale in comparison, although there are handful of Pokémon that potentially learn Earth Power."
- I'm pretty sure this also counts as "talking strategy".
- "Ground's greatest disadvantage is its ineffectiveness against common Flying-type Pokémon, those with Levitate Ability or Air Balloon (unless they are grounded)."
- This is also redundant. Weren't you the one who added the air balloon to that page's items section?
- "However, most Ground-type Pokémon can learn powerful Rock-type moves to take down Flying types, Bug types, and also Ice types with super-effective hit."
- I think Tiddlywinks wanted to allow this kind of statement on condition that more than half of the type can learn that move (eg. more than half of ground Pokemon can learn rock attacks).

Making assumptions about events
Never make assumptions about events just because that's the way they typically work. For example, the Birthday Chansey in Let's Go does not have a Birthday Ribbon (Ribbons aren't even visible in Let's Go), it has a Classic Ribbon. Even if you think it's obvious (such as an event Pokémon in USUM being in a Cherish Ball), you should never state this on Bulbapedia unless we have specific confirmation. --SnorlaxMonster 08:02, 20 January 2019 (UTC)

- Well, thanks for fixing oversights like for Pikachu, but I have to say that I'm not really convinced of what you did to cases like Glaceon. The textual statement is just misleading (Frost Breath isn't learned by Eevee, for example), the Pokémon appears to be introduced in Generation I when it really wasn't, and also readers cannot tell which moves need Eevee and which don't (except when hovering over numbers). I believe that this should (at least) have been discussed. Nescientist (talk) 17:56, 8 November 2020 (UTC)

- However, I think too many pages use it now because for Pokémon in the Field Egg Group, they can learn the move by breeding from Smeargle that has Sketched the move, e.g. Eerie Impulse on Mareep or Guard Split on Rhyhorn. Considering this, Rhyhorn that learned Guard Split from Smeargle can pass it down to Shieldon. --Bfdifan2006something to say? · My work documentation 11:06, 28 November 2021 (UTC)

Legends items
1) I think the Secret Medicine in Legends similar enough to the one seen in previous games in both appearance and effect that it could be in the same article instead of receiving a separate "Hisui" article.
2) Even if an item is changed from a regular item to a Key Item or vice versa, it can still be added to the same acquisition template, as sown with Escape Rope. --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 11:41, 5 February 2022 (UTC)
- Legends arceus introduced new index numbers for a bunch of items, which means the game recognises them as totally different items, even if the Escape rope is made a key item in SWSH, it still has the same index number as it did in every previous pokemon game (0078). that's the key difference, and because a potion or pokéball in legends arceus is a totally different item than what a pokéball/secret medicine is in SWSH or any other mainline game, it should be separated imo. 4iamking (talk) 12:09, 5 February 2022 (UTC)

Hi! Love seeing the devotion you've been giving to Pokémon in Indonesia! That is an amazing page! Good job!
I stopped by to ask a question. Pokémon Festival Jakarta is easily notable enough for its own page, if not because of the event itself, but at least to document the merchandise involved. Is a full page something you'd be interested in working on? I saw the goods and was thinking about working on it myself, but you seem much better equipped to do it. Let me know! - Thanks! At first, I have no intention of creating the live event section, but I don't mind if the article will be created, but right now I'm afraid that I only create stubs. AKUro? あくロちゃん 21:45, 12 December 2022 (UTC)
Therian Enamorus’ EV yield
In the Enamorus article, it is stated that the EV yield of the Therian Forme is 3 Attack. Pokémon Database states that this is 3 Special Attack (specifically for Therian Forme), and I found no other source about this specific value. I cannot tell which one is right so I’m asking you, since it seems you added this info on the Enamorus article: where did you get it from?
