Coral (Japanese: サンゴ Sango) is one of the admins of the Explorers, and a major antagonist in Pokémon Horizons: The Series.
History
Coral first appeared as a hologram in The Ancient Poké Ball, silhouetted with two other Admins, Sidian and Chalce.
In Quaxly, We Can Do It!, she appeared again as a hologram, this time not silhouetted and along with some of her fellow admins, talked to Spinel after his failure in having Liko's pendant taken away from him.
She made her physical debut in HZ024, where Hamber requested that Coral and Sidian accompany him to the old castle in the Galar region. They planned to meet with Amethio, Zirc and Onia and assist with pursuing a mysterious Pokémon that emerged from Liko's pendant. Shortly after arriving, Coral ignored Hamber's orders to stay behind and attacked Liko and Roy, only to be stopped by Captain Pikachu. Once Cap took out Sidian's Garganacl, Coral snapped and ordered her Glalie to use Self-Destruct, giving Friede the opportunity to take Liko and Roy to safety. After the Rising Volt Tacklers fled the area, Coral was scolded by Sidian for her reckless behavior.
In HZ027, Coral and the other admins joined in a meeting to discuss the Explorers' next objective. Eventually, they decided to go after the Black Rayquaza.
In HZ043, Coral attempted to buy some rare Sea Digdaman in a seaside town in Paldea. Upon finding out that Liko and Roy managed to get the last available box, a furious Coral challenged them to a battle. While Coral faced Roy, Sidian stepped in to take on Liko. Coral and Sidian proved to be powerful opponents, but Roy and Liko refused to give up and eventually broke through their foes' strategies. Impressed, the two Explorers admins decided to stop holding back, but were forced to withdraw after Sidian received a call to take part in mission involving the Black Rayquaza.
Character
Coral appears to have a mostly cheery and playful personality, but likes to disrespectfully poke fun at her allies whenever they fail a mission. Along with Sidian, Coral is considered a troublemaker due to her lack of discipline and reckless behavior in comparison to her fellow admins. Coral appears to have a volatile mood, as she quickly became furious when Captain Pikachu interrupted the Explorers' siege on the old castle and commanded her Glalie to Self-Destruct despite Sidian's protests. As seen in HZ043, she is easily distracted, as she was shown focusing on her Rotom Phone during her battle with Roy.
Coral is also quite childish and vain, occasionally referring to herself in the third-person and openly expressing how cute she is. In the Japanese version, she often uses the prefix 鬼 oni to emphasize her words. She's also quite the loudmouth, openly talking about the Explorers' plans in front of others, even their enemies, as she talked about the organization's intention to summon the Black Rayquaza in front of Liko and Roy. She also prioritizes dealing with her grudges more than the organization's plans as she refused to leave the battle with Liko and Roy at first, being dragged away by force by Sidian and his Aerodactyl.

Glalie is Coral's only known Pokémon. In HZ025, she used it to battle Liko and Roy alongside Sidian and his Garganacl. Captain Pikachu soon arrived to rescue them, facing off against Glalie and Garganacl, Glalie tried to hit Pikachu with Blizzard but missed, afterwards Pikachu sent Garganacl flying with its attack. Coral soon got frustrated by Pikachu's defiance and recklessly commanded Glalie to use Self-Destruct. Captain Pikachu was able to escape the damage thanks to Friede and Charizard while Glalie unfortunately took both itself and Garganacl out with its own attack.
In addition to using it in battle, Coral uses Glalie as her transportation method.
Glalie's known moves are Blizzard, Self-Destruct, Crunch, and Ice Spinner.
